Update:The supplier of these gloves has revised the pricing of these gloves, and adjusted the price down to £11.99, which is a much more appealing price, though still a bit pricy for my taste if the gloves are to be used for work. That said, for £11.99, you do get a useful pair of gloves with touchscreen ability, grippy palms and fingers, made from good materials and with decent construction. For light use, where you're not going to get them grubby or damaged, you could do worse. If you just need grippy gloves, say for Nordic walking or something where you need grip and might want to use your smartphone, but don't need heavy protection these are not a bad buy following the price adjustment. If you're a mechanic working in an oily or greasy environment, these probably won't be great for you. Also make sure you order a size in the knowledge that the gloves are not generously sized, so if you have an urge to go up a size from your normal fit, maybe give in to the urge and go up a size. But at £11.99, I think these gloves justify a 4* rating for what you get for your money. Kudos to the supplier for adjusting the price.Original review:This pair of work gloves costs £16.99. Compare that cost with other grippy work gloves, and you'll see why I am only rating these gloves at 2*.The gloves themselves are perfectly fine. They have a decently padded palm (it's thin, but offers some protection), good grip, allow touch-screen operation, and they're attractive. They have a thin fabric back, so your hands won't sweat in them. There really is a lot to like about these gloves, and if they were £4.99, they'd get a 4* or maybe 5* rating. But these are being sold as work gloves, and work gloves get dirty and damaged with use. The asking price of £16.99 (with no discount at time of writing) is far too expensive for a pair of gloves that will likely have a fairly short life if used for work. They're not particularly strong, they're just grippy light gloves with a touchscreen ability. There are a lot of much cheaper alternative grippy work gloves to choose from on Amazon, which might not offer all the features of these gloves, but are more suitable for work as you will be able to replace them cheaply when they wear or get too dirty/damaged for use. My advice is to shop around for an alternative bargain.

In a nutshell:Things I liked:+ Very solid, good quality gloves that give your hands good protection in a range of outdoor tasks.+ Protection on the rear of the glove is a very welcome addition - I frequently scrape the back of my hand with other gloves when reaching into small, difficult to access areas like under decking etc. However, do note that this also means your hand will need slightly more clearance when accessing small spaces. A trade-off worth making, in my opinion, but yours may differ.+ They do allow you to access your smartphone while in use, however...Things I didn't like:- I'm not sure that's such a good thing. I tend to get all sorts stuck to my gloves, so swiping on my screen with dirt or small fragments of stone attached is not something I want to be tempted to do, necessarily.- They are smaller than expected. I do not have particularly large hands but the large size is definitely the one I needed.Do I recommend it?Yes, provided you order the best size for you. Go larger than you would normally.
