New out of bow, strung the bow,one limb had a weak spot so I would not take a chance and draw the bow.looks like I'm out my hard earned money.

This Sparrow is very nice to look at stare at and man ... its small but gorgeous. It hits bullseyes almost always when you focus. This bow is in my opinion possibly perfect for beginners to learn from but most importantly, maybe even to get addicted to the mysterious art of archery. Even tillered and has a 8" brace height. I use 3 finger under and feel less stack. Cheers ,

This is honestly a beautiful budget friendly bow, that's great for beginners or smaller shooters. It's a bit short for me but my style of shooting works around that anyways. I've been shooting it for well over a year now and it's still holding strong.

I love this bow; the satin finish looks nice and the price cannot be beat. I filed down a few sharp edges around the string groove, not exactly where the string lies, but where it could abrade it while stringing and unstringing. The bow sits well in my hand, draws smoothly, and I don't feel any hand shock. It weighs less than a pound, 425g to be exact. Most bow experts consider heavier bows to be steadier and more accurate, but as a small person, holding a heavier bow can be a chore. This seems to be a generic bow that is being sold under a number of brand names, most of them for more money. For example, this is the exact same bow as the Old Mountain "Troy" or the 3 Rivers Archery "Badger".As other reviewers have noted, the draw weight is off, at least when considered at 28" draw length as per industry standard. My draw length is 25" and a 20lb rated bow should be ~14 lbs, but this bow is ~25lbs. In the listing for the "Badger" at 3 Rivers Archery, it states that being a youth bow, the draw weight is measured at 24". So my bow rated to 20 lbs should draw about 22 lbs at my 25" draw length, and it is within a 5 lb tolerance reasonable for a mass-produced item. Still, a draw weight given at a non-standard draw length should be mentioned by the seller. The lowest draw weight available is 20 lbs, but for a youth bow there should also be a 15 lb option. There was no instruction on how to string it, which arrows would work well, etc. Other sellers have something in the text, a little video, or a leaflet in the box. I bet that at least some of the limb failures mentioned by other reviewers are due to improper stringing or dry firing.I experimented with different arrows, all with 100 grain tips. The 26", 400 spine, 25g (gram, not grain) arrows I had already were too heavy and stiff, but the 28", 800 spine, 18g arrows I ordered later are a better match. Even at the higher draw weight than expected I enjoy using the bow, but tend to get a bit tired and my archery sessions are shorter than I'd like. So now I'm also getting a weaker bow from a European manufacturer that's more expensive, but I expect the draw weight to be more predictable. Once I build up my endurance and form, I hope to go back to this one.

This bow is being used for larp dueling in the park. 25lb is ample speed to send arrows at your your target quickly and accurately. I had tons of fun with it, the string is fine, the presumably fake hair-rest looks decent and I appreciate that it was included, if you are considering this bow, highly recommend it for larping or backyard target shooting.

Got this bow the other day. Looks good. Light weight and easy to handle. No defects. #35 measured #31 on my scale at my 28" draw. Some twang to it, but not bad for a physically light weight bow. No hand shock. Supplied rest material wore through the hair fairly quickly but I changed that out. Shooting 600 spine Gold Tip arrows with 125 grain points has it shooting good groups. Yes it's basic. Yes its a few pounds light of the claimed poundage. Yes it's short, but it shoots well, and for the money, it's a steal.

I got this bow to start shooting again after a few shoulder injuries. It was easy to string and after putting some beaver hide string silencers on...it is the lightest and quietest bow I have ever owned. Within a few days I was shooting a group of about 5" at 20 yards. I really wish they made one in 50-55# range...in would buy it in a heartbeat. By far the lightest and quietest recurve I have ever had. Accurate off the shelf. Would highly recommend for someone learning to shoot traditional or anyone that needs something easy enough to shoot but build shoulder strength back up to shoot a heavier bow for hunting. I just hope they make one at 60" or 62" with a heavier pull.

The bow was scratched up right out of the box and the string was beat up and obviously used! The tiller was also way off! I ordered a 25 pound bow and fortunately I have an accurate scale. About the only thing correct with this bow was the draw weight. At 28” it was just under 25 pounds which was close enough. The weird part is there were NO MARKINGS of any kind! No company logo, no model info, and no draw weight marked anywhere on the bow! With the scratches and no markings of any kind it looked like a bow that was made in someone’s basement, and not made very well in that basement! Fortunately Amazon made returning it for a full refund as easy as possible.

A great bow, especially for the price. Unlike most authentic longbows, this has a cutaway shelf like most modern recurve risers. We bought this bow in 35# for my wife to begin archery and for me to begin again, as it's been a long, long time. This has turned out to be a great bow for us and great fun to enjoy a common hobby together. Now that we're hooked, we plan to upgrade to other bows as our skills improve. We're using feather fletched 30", 600 spine arrows with 100 grain field points and they're perfect for this bow.

A very light bow that is great for new archers. Made from laminated wood and some synthetic blackmaterial. Tends to vibrate a little but that's the nature of this style of bow. comfortable grip and a lineardraw, no stacking. I bought this for the wife to get into archery and she likes it.It is listed as the 25# version: at 28" draw it is 27# and at 30" draw it is 29#. So just a little high.Excellent value.

A well made, well thought out bow. The design reminds me of several youth bows I’ve seen, starting with the 1970s-era Bear Cub. The choice of woods is attractive and the rest is nicely crowned. It’s advertised as coming with a stick-hair rest, but that was missing from mine. I used a Bear hair rest I had on hand (see photo) with a 1/8” strip of leather behind it. This provides a single point of contact that allows better arrow flight. This, I think, an excellent choice for a young teen or small adult looking for a traditional bow to learn on. I’d recommend the 20# weight for beginners of any age. It comes with a very nice bow stringer, and I suggest you use it whenever you string or unstrung the bow. While it’s possible to do this without a stringer, the chance of twisting the limbs and ruining the bow is very high if you do it that way. You’ll also need arrows, and for a shooting off the shelf, that means using arrows fletched with feathers. You can use the cheap beginner arrows found in department stores, but if you’re serious about archery I suggest buying a set of Easton Jazz, which can be found at your local shop or various on-line suppliers for around $35/6 plus shipping, or an inexpensive carbon arrow. Last, you’ll need a basic archery tab or glove, to protect your fingers from the string ($10-20) and an arm protector ($10) to protect your arm from string slap while you’re learning to hold the bow.One point to consider: My bow was marked as 20# draw, which I assumed was measured at 28”, the industry standard. But when I measured it, it was closer to 26# at that draw. It turns out that traditional youth bows, like the Bear Cub, were typically weighed at a 24” draw, and that’s how they were marked, e.g., 20#@24”. The makers of this bow have copied some of the classic American designs, but they don’t mark the length. Keep that in mind when you're shopping for a sub-60” lightweight bow.

This bow is exactly what I was looking for. It's small and light and at 30# draw easy to shoot a lot without wearing me out. The eoodbis beautiful and has a nice natural look. I was looking for an easy to carry, light simple now with no bells and whistles. They delivered with this bow. I'm getting older and my old 50# draw recurve was just too big, bulky and not fun to shoot more than six to twelve arrows. I can shoot this bow for hours. Very happy with this purchase.

I bought this bow for teaching archery and it is perfect! It is great for people under 5'6" I'd say. I'm 5'8" and I can shoot it but it is maxing it out pretty hard, still, my shooting it doesn't seem to be hurting the bow and I love shooting it as a warmup before picking up my heavier bow.It fits very well in the hand, is light and nimble, fires arrows quickly and accurately.I recommend the MS Jummper 700 spine carbon arrows with this, they are a fast little arrow at a good price and pair well with this bow.
