It comes with any adapter you need - including what most people will use by cutting their old tube.I didn’t realize how bad my old pump head was - for years it has been a struggle to fill my presta tires. After the five minute install, my tires were filled easily and confidently. If you have a pump that works fine but needs a new head, don’t hesitate. Also I got this because i didn’t want a “smart” valve, which have never been great for me. I wanted something that I could isolate for perfect inflation every time.

I have a 10 year old Joe Blow Spirit pump which was no longer holding tire pressure when I was pumping up my bike tires. Before ordering the replacement I tried to clean the old head to see if that would help. Nope same issue. I ordered this twinhead replacement with the hose and several attachments. Now I did not really need the hose and attachments, I more wanted the twinhead. I took the new twinhead off the new hose and put it on the old - works great. Then I got thinking more about the old twinhead. I took it apart and measured the O rings inside with my caliper. Then I went to my hardware store, bought new O-rings and replaced the old ones. Presto - now the old head works as well as the new one. I will keep the repaired one as a backup in case the new one goes bad. Also the various attachments I did not use because I could not get the mounting under the pump gauge to come off. So I took the hose off right below the gauge and attached the new hose with the old head to see if all worked or would leak. Everything worked perfectly as it should.

Item is just what I expected, worked perfectly with my good ol' Joe Blow Sport floor pump; installation was quick and easy too. The 3-star rating is for its price, it is almost as expensive as buying a new pump altogether -- which, to me, does not make any sense.

This pump head is very poorly designed and engineered. The main problem is that when the lever is in the neutral (parallel to the supply hose)position, air flows between the two heads and the supply hose, so while you are seating the head on the valve stem, air leaks from the tire out the opposite head until you throw the lever. The problem is most severe on the Schrader head. By the time the head is properly seated on the stem and the lever is in the proper position, up to 1/4 of the air in the tire may have leaked out. I like exercise as much as the next guy, but I'd rather it was spent on my bike than on my 'self-deflating' pump head. The other problem is that it is unclear either from the directions or the icons/markings/hieroglyphics on the head which direction to throw the lever for a given head. A simple heuristic should be included in the direction--"Push the lever away from the head seated on the tube stem (or head in use)". I'm experimenting with starting the process with the lever not in the neutral position, but in the position closest to the the head on the stem, seating the head, and then flicking the lever quickly to see if I can reduce the amount of leakage.

The kit comes with a few adaptors to screw into your old pump base, but none fit my specialized air tool pro. Had to remove the threaded end of the hose and clamp to my existing nipple, which worked fine but it's not as nice as using one of the included fittings. I feel like I wasted some money on a bunch of nice fittings which I won't use.The pump head works nicely, is easy to put on and remove, holds a good seal, and is reasonably easy to actuate the lever. Hopefully the hose lasts longer than the one that came with the pump. I have a silca pump that is 20 years old and still has the original hose, no problems.Had an adaptor fit I'd give it 5, but it didn't so 4 it is.

Had to replace the head (yellow clamp failed) on my Joe Blow Pro but thought I would give this twinhead upgrade a shot. The kit comes with several installation options that aren't listed which in my opinion would make it an even easier sell to anyone needing to replace/upgrade this function on their Topeak floor pump. I removed the threaded (bottom part) that the included adapters would otherwise screw on to and instead, just pushed the hose on to the existing part that I had pulled the old hose off of. Perfect fit! I used the old connectors (both are threaded nuts) and the new hose with the twin head works perfect. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this part to you if you asked but I have no idea if it is compatible with different pump manufacturers. There are several adapters, but wait, there is a hose clamp included too so yeah, as long as the hose from a different brand pump is the same diameter as this hose then I can't imagine it not working. No, I don't know the diameter of the hose, sorry. One option I considered was the clamp with the thought being I would extend the length of the hose by about 2 1/2 feet, but instead opted with the new hose only primarily because I didn't want an extra 2 feet of hose to have to deal with (wrapping it around the pump cylinder to keep from stepping on it, etc.

The replacement tubing is longer than the original, which is nice for reaching tires in work stands. The tubing replaced the original. Many options to work with different sized tubing arrived with the replacement set. I bought the pump over ten years ago, and after five years of use, the side piece fell out of the twinhead chuck. I replaced the twinhead with a generic schraeder presta chuck, which worked fine for presta, and would work on schraeders if there was pressure already in the tube. The generic chuck also didn't fit well on schraeders. I needed to replace a schraeder tube after tearing off the valve, but no pressure on new tube = no use, so I bought the Topeak, and it works awesome. Probably should have paid the extra the first time. You get a longer tube and many splicing parts for the money, and it works for both presta and schraeder.
