I needed it for my Yamaha 250hp outboard that weighs almost 500 lbs & it handles it with ease! This is a VERY strong engine stand! What I really like about it is the brace welded to the upright post so it cannot buckle under a heavy load!! Another great feature is the wheels have roller bearings that make it very easy to move your load wherever you want with ease!!

Using this stand to rebuild BBC 502. Had moto stripped down to short block plus heads. Only issue I had was getting it close enough to the hoist to mount to the stand. If you are not strong enough to rotate a BB on an engine stand, you may need a helper or get one with a gear case rotater.

I'm surprised at the quality for this price. Much better than the sketchy 3-wheeler I picked up from harbor fright.

I give this product 4 stars because, I was disappointed in what I would say would be quality control. When I received the package, the box was thrashed! It appeared that it had been drug, and stuck with something like a lifting fork. There were multiple “large” holes in the box. After reading other similar reviews, I unboxed the engine stand to ensure all parts were there. Disappointedly, one of the key components, the “Mounting Arms”, were missing. At that point I could infer that they must have escaped through one of the large holes in the box. Had this been some bolts etc, I wouldn’t be as disappointed, I could’ve went to a box store and replaced them easily and got to work.Overall, I like the quality of the product. It is very sturdy, manufactured with thicker steel, and the hardware doesn’t seem “cheap.” I experienced no problems with assembly of the product. Welds were “ok”, as expected from being massed produced in China. I compared other stands such as Harbor Freight models and I am glad I purchased this particular engine stand from Torin. Now my adventure of getting the support arms begins, hopefully they won’t take months to get, but I won’t hold my breath!I would recommend this engine stand but be forewarned about the possibility of missing parts on delivery.
