This stuff worked great. It took some of my gem stones and made them into very smooth looking rocks. I'm very pleased.

I mean the true test will take months... rock tumbling is not a quick process. But it's grit - and it's fairly priced. Looks like most other grits I've used and seems to be tumbling well, so I'm happy with it so far and have no expectation that will change. If you do any tumbling / polishing, this is a good set to try out.

This is a lot of grit, I don't think we'll run out any time soon. Love the value. Works well with the NatGeo kit we have.

6 LBS 4 Step Rock Tumbler Grit Set, Tumbling Media Refill-Coarse/Medium Grit/Pre-Polished/Final Polish, Works with Any Rock Tumbler, Rock Polisher, Stone Polisher…First impressions: Nice box full of jars of grit to use in your rock polisher tumbler. The grit was in good shape and the jars were big and full.Installation/setup: Use a few tablespoons of grit with water, ceramics, and rocks in your rock tumbler. Run according to your tumbler instructions, changing out the water and grit to go through the steps.Final thoughts: This is a good refill for me, I have two small tumblers. Grit does get used up and it wears out. It is worn out when the grit stops making a change in your rocks. I usually rinse the grit off the rocks and inspect them between grit changes. I may run a grit then rinse because it’s being less effective then run the same size grit again. It’s a judgement call, the stones really tell you if they need more time. Just ask yourself if they are as smooth as you want them at that stage. This will also come with experience. I already own some ceramic bits so I didn’t need more at this time. The ceramic bits are really a space filler if you don’t have enough rocks at a certain stage to run. They aren’t really necessary but I like to use them, especially if the rocks I am tumbling are a bit fragile or prone to breaking like some crystals or agates. They can be ruined if you have too much room in your tumbler and they are basically crashing into each other instead of being sanded smooth by the grit. I like this and I’m glad I got it.⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend.

Used to replace used grits in a commonly purchased tumbler system. Had one more level of grit, which really helped with the final shine. And the ceramic pieces have worn extremely well(read little to no wear) and improve the finish quality since they help pad the rocks from falling.
