After reading he negative reviews, I was a little weary about ordering this product. Then I noticed that the last negative review was back in 2013, so I gave it a shot, and I'm glad that I did. My expectations were exceeded! What I expected to get, based on the picture. was basically a dumbbell bar with the weight positioned in the center. Instead, what I got was a device with a heavy duty wheel that appears to roll on ball bearings and a handle with professional rubber grips. I always hated all the other cheesy and flimsy ab wheels and am happy that I was able to get a professional grade product.

I will say that the quality of this device seems to be very high - it rolls smoothly and is made of heavy-duty materials. And in the end, what's most important about a piece of exercise equipment like this is that it works and lasts a long time - which I think this ab-roller will.I have a huge problem, however, with a company that charges about 5X as much as the lower-end brands of these ab-rollers, and then provides a terrible fit-and-finish. If this product was high quality and cost $15 or even $20, I wouldn't mind a poor paint job, but for a product that costs about $70 (with shipping), and comes with peeling paint on the hand-grips and rusty/flaky washers, I think it's reasonable to be upset with the manufacturer. I won't bother to return this, but I don't think I will buy their products again.

There's a plethora of cheap plastic ab-wheels out there. I was looking for a high quality product to use for my workouts and with my personal training clients. During my search, I came across this item and of course the first thing I noticed was the high price. Judging from the picture and all the five star reviews, I decided to spend the extra cash. The old adage "you get what you pay for" has never been truer! First good sign, the item arrived securely packaged. Second, the wheel is STURDILY built, I mean ROCK-SOLID, yet rolls as smooth as butter. I love using it and so do my clients! The Torso-Head is the "Mercedes-Benz" of ab rollers!

I have used three of these ab wheels all made by different manufacturers. The first one was sturdy but the grip bar was too short requiring a very close grip (my hands had to be held close together). The second one from a major national retail chain that specializes in sporting equipment and clothing also was too short and so poorly made of plastic and lightweight foam that it fell apart after being used four times. This 750 Lb. capacity roller is in a league of its own! You can grip it wide or close and use it everyday for years without fear of wearing it out. The only improvement I can suggest is for the manufacturer to use a gray or black wheel which would look better than brown. You get what you pay for in life and this product is well worth the extra cost if you are going to use it a few times a week.

This thing is solid. Unlike other wheels I have worn out, the handle diameter is sufficient to keep my hands from cramping up during what is probably excessive use. I have had other wheels where the rubber of the wheel itself starts flaking off after a few uses, but the material for this wheel is far too dense for that. On the down side traction is pretty low and I suggest using it on a mat or rug to prevent the wheel from rolling right out of your hands if you build up too much speed. The components are mostly metal so this thing is heavier than other wheels and seems like it will last a very long time.

I purchased this wheel from Amazon thinking I'd be getting the highest quality ab roller available. What I got was a device that does not roll smoothly; it sticks at several points in it's rotation (and lubricating it does not help). The wheel also possesses a few small rust spots. Since I order from Canada and pick up in the US returns are a massive hassle for me so I still have it and it sits useless in the corner while a cheaper ab wheel I had before gets used. Not recommended.

Looking around at reviews, the biggest complaints are those devices that don't feel sturdy, are wobbly, or the wheel is not thick enough to provide support. This product is worth the price if you want one that is well made. Wheel is plenty wide, bar is very sturdy, action is smooth. If you are looking for a long-term investment, paying for this one is worth it over the cheaper models. Only comment was that it did not come with any kind of instruction booklet. However, one was not promised and it is probably assumed that those who buy this item know what they are doing.
