had an issue with my Abrams where it would not start. Switch all the way on won’t work. Had to move switch back a tiny bit toward off, then started. I am hoping this doesn’t cause an issue when driving it. No instructions on how to repair. The smoker has tubes that will simply fall off the back of the tank. You then add oil in the back holes and it just goes all over the inside. The tubes should snap on or be glued on, but they are not. One tube pushed the nozzle off the smoker as well. Because it was too long and broke the nozzle clean off. It was not even glued on. This is why so many problems are happening with the smoker unit the tank comes with. All idler wheels on left side got stuck forward. Had to figure out how to bend the tank frame to get swing arm notches back on the other side of the body so the suspension would work again. Far too many problems that should not be happening, and this was an upgraded model at purchase. Such as the separation of the metal treads. I have fixed over 6 of these in 2 weeks. The track rods simply slide right out, and there is no way to lock them in so they don’t. Terrible design for the tracks to have rods that simply slide out. These are TERRIBLE and makes the tank nothing but aggravation. Looks nice and good sound effects, and that is all you will have left if you can not repair a problem with the tracks, wheels, or engines. You WILL be doing maintenance nearly every run of about a half hour or so on the tracks. For this reason I can’t recommend this tank unless you really want to do the repairs for it CONSTANTLY as well as drive it. Toucan Hobby does have responsive customer service with some language issues, but they do care. If you don’t mind being a tank mechanic as well as a driver, you will get a good dose of realism in that regard. You really need the aluminum bracing kit for the full metal tracks and wheels to avoid body twisting breaking the idler wheels loose. Overall, far too many problems with the tracks separating from rods that are free to slide out and have no way of locking in place. Poorly designed.

i purchased this tank fully intending to upgrade it both mechanically and to upgrade the exterior and repaint making it as realistic as possible. I also bought it with the metal upgrades as i was intending to upgrade it with even more metal components including tracks with rubber pads later and exterior add ons. so it was pretty much all i wanted to start. i charged the battery and ensured that it operated as it was supposed to out of the box and it did so. overall i am happy with what i received as it met my limited expectations.now for the bad. i had so many different choices where to order the tank from as they are pretty much all the same (three variations and then colors) sold through many sources but I chose this amazon store. it was a mistake. five days after they printed the label and giving me a three week delivery time I had to get aggressively in their face and request cancellation of the order for selling me an item they didn't actually have in stock (guess they had to order them in bulk through temu to get a good price). but then as if by some miracle they shipped it and it arrived via FedEx a few days later...I believe it took about eight days to receive including the five they did nothing. so my recommendation...try somewhere else where they actually care about their customers enough to ship what you paid for or that actually have the item in stock as they claim before wasting your time. beyond that its a cool adult toy...now for the model it has some shortcomings...the gun has a very audible click when elevating or reducing the elevation of the barrel. the instruction manual is 80% in Chinese with some cliff notes in English so don't expect to much there, and the battery is tiny. also when you turn the tank off (with the on off switch) the lights remain on and blink. so without a good manual i can only assume you must remove the battery to turn it off.

This tank is great for the price. My husband has the heng long t34 which is also a great tank but it's mostly plastic. We bought this one because of its upgraded metal components. It has metal tracks and wheels, all the wheels not just the idlers, steel gearbox and the barrel is also metal. I wish the tracks had some rubber on them for better traction but it's a nice tank. It runs great, sounds and looks great, maneuvers and moves like a real tank. The firing system works great and is a bit more powerful than the t34's. The infrared system is pretty cool too, the bbs aren't fired with enough force to do any damage but when hit by another tank, the tanks will detect that they've been fired on and shut down. The shell and accessories are plastic but the details in this tank are amazing and there lots of upgrades and replacement parts available for it.

For someone looking to purchase a model R/C tank, this is a good one. Well detailed, many metal parts, correct sound effects for the turbine engine, smoke effects, etc.It is not a toy though. It will require maintaining, it will occasionally require repair. If you run the smoke unit dry, it will burn out. If you jam up the tracks running through small gravel, something will break. If you fill it up with water, the electronics will suffer. These are just facts of the RC tank hobby. It is worth it imho, but your opinion may differ. If you want a cheap toy to use and then throw away and buy another when it breaks, don't get this.The seller (Toucan) has been great to deal with. My Abrams arrived with shipping damage due to rough handling by the carrier. Toucan was EXCELLENT in handling the matter and getting me a repair part quite quickly.Overall a good model and a good seller, as long as you're prepared for the realities.
