So the whole thing didn’t come with instructions so I resorted to YouTube for assistance and that was no help, everything was in there but no instructions on how to apply it

Overall the product was good, however there are a few things I have an issue with. First, there was no adhesive on the top of the screen for the front facing camera bracket. Second, there was no extra adhesive for the ring that attaches to the screen to hold the Touch ID. Other than that, the product was good and I would recommend it to others.

Its a higher level repair. Make sure you're ready for that. The glue is a pain in the rear and the home button removal is annoying to get in the right place. If I could do it again, I'd skip Touch ID and get the one with the button installed.

Installing the Home button is a issue and especially when they don’t include the how to install the screen/ home button assembly. I wish they had included the “how to install” in my kit instead of looking into YouTube videos. 😢

Brilliant! My iPad works again! Note to buyer...you need to do your own Touch ID home button surgery....be cautious and watch YouTube videos. Also don’t forget to put the little magnets back in at the top and bottom of the right side of the screen when looking at it. If you don’t the screen will have phantom touches. And nobody likes that and will probably make you feel like it’s the screens fault...it’s not...it’s your for not putting the magnets back in. Good luck!Edit: phantom touch/ghoast(ing) touch began after the weather got hot and my iPad changes to a warmer temp for a few months. I researched it and remember I completely forgot to tape the metal across the glass at the bottom just above the home button.....this may not be an issue for you, I stripped the iPad and replaced the black tape for the speakers and other parts but if you accidentally peel off some tape or expose anything that can affect it if they touch then it’s better safe than sorry. I’ve already fixed this with succes by 1. Let the iPad sit in the sun and bake a few minutes to let the glue soften 2. Go slow girl...don’t break the screen so use as many wedges as you can to keep the screen from sticking back to the digitizer. 3. Once the successful removal just use a heat resistance tape (I used black gaffers tape) and cover the exposed metal so it can’t ground out when in use. With the summers I have here in Phoenix I also decided I need to use an adhesive that won’t soften too much with heat. When I repairs this iPad it took me two hours just to get the glass out. So a more permanent adhesive is better for my situation. But keep in mind the adhesive that comes with the screen still is great and would have given me trouble if it didn’t soften in the sun.I want to add that the home button is easy to hook up. The reason why I purchased a screen without the button preinstalled is because I’ve heard lots of issues with them failing and not working as well that became frustrating or rendering the fingerprint function useless. When doing the “surgery” I took pictures during disassembling and used it as a visual on how to align and attach to the new screen and snap into the iPad board. If I may direct you to YouTube for some instruction or google for images of what it should look like in case you experience the same thing. Remember, this is a repair and saving over $200 to do it myself is cost effective when the device is not much more than that. I’ve read the home button issues others are complaining about and quite frankly I don’t get their complaints when they signed up for doing this task. The home button is easier to attach than the entire screen replacement it just takes a few minutes more and I know my button will work and I won’t have the issues some are having with preinstalled home buttons. Don’t be a whiner like the others and give a bad review over their own mistake. Be patient and take your time. I took all the time I wanted and did it right. Test the screen and button placement few times before you adhere it for good and adjust if you find any problems. Alcohol is a great tool to clean up adhesive and make it sticky again. Good luck.

Great screen, new home button fit perfect in the hole. Loved the separator tool that came in the kit, very handy for repairs.
