Treating persistant abcess, and able to keep poultice on constantly and hoof clean and dry. Boot stayed on comfortably walking in corral. Has big hoof, but size 3 did just fit. Healed nicely. Good buy.

I bought this for my mare to protect her foot from the wet mud here in Western Washington winter weather. It kept my horse's foot dry and allowed it to heal from the thrush that had infected her.

This boot is fantastic for horses recovering from abscesses. My horse wears a size 4 shoe and I bought the size 4. It fits over the shoe and wrap perfectly. I love how it closes with double Velcro higher up just below the pastern. My horse walks nicely in it. It’s washable. It stays on during turn out. So far it has held up well. No rips or wear issues. Even if it did rip, it’s cheap enough I wouldn’t mind replacing it. It would be cool to have 2 so you could alternate with cleaning and drying. It can be hosed off or even thrown in the washer. This boot has helped me a lot with a recurring abscess which actually required surgery to remove a sarcoma inside the hoof. My vet likes it too. Measure your horses hoof and give it a try. Great product.

I bought two sizes in order to get the correct size for my gelding. This was a bit big but the boot is well made and perfect for a duck tape boot alternative for abscesses!

Fit wasn’t as expected. Measured hoof but boot was far larger than needed.
