Another reviewer notes that this is not rated for use commercially in the US and I am mindful of that as I offer my thoughts.This is a heavy weight ratchet for pulling chain tight--it comes with about a foot of chain but you need to supply your own length of chain long enough to secure whatever you are trying to tie down. This is very similar in principle to much lighter weight ratcheting binders that are available for cars and come equipped with nylon straps rather than chains.The construction is heavy duty and the ratcheting action is easy to engage and reverse as needed.The issue of US certification is beyond my pay grade and my intention for this is not commercial. However I think the fellow reviewer's point is well taken and I am hopeful that the seller clarifies in his listing the legal applicability of this ratchet for use on commercial loads here in the States.
