Too many horror stories about aftermarket, cheap ball joints failing. OEM parts are the way to go unless you're heavily modified and require a special setup.

These are Genuine Toyota lower ball joints. Don't make a mistake by buying aftermarket lower ball joints like I initially did. Cheap aftermarket ball joints just dont hold up like genuine Toyota ones do and it can cost you a lot in the end. I had some one year old cheaper aftermarket joint snap off while deep in an offroad trail, what a nightmare! I replaced the both sides with genuine Toyota after that. The other side, non-snapped, one year old, aftermarket ball joint was super loose and worn out. Never again will I go cheap on ball joints. Save yourself $100s or possibly $1000s in the end by buying quality Toyota OEM from the start.

The dreaded LBJ on 3rd gen 4runners was put at ease for me when I used these to replace my OEM LBJs at 263k miles! Im certain this Toyota LBJ will last long

Came back to change my review, after 3 years and lots of tough riding and offroading. Originally I gave these a poor review because I was sent the wrong parts, but that was straightened out pretty quickly.3+ years later and plenty of overland trios and hard wheeking and these ball joints are still solid. Excellent quality and very pleased.

Dont be a victim of lower ball joint failure. Dont trust your life or your family or friends lives to cheap ball joints. For critical components such as these only buy oem. i am a technician for a living and these are top quality🇯🇵. If your truck has more than 100,000 miles you are on borrowed time. After installing these on my 98 4runner sr5 with 261,000, I can relax knowing that the front end of my truck will not slam to the pavement on the freeway or fail on a mountain road sending me over the edge. safety is priceless.. buy both sides.

After I fixed one side, I decided to do the other also. My post from the driver side ball joint: It's hard to find genuine parts. Which site should I trust? Which store could I trust? Well, I trust Amazon for many years so it was easy to make that purchase knowing I would not get screwed over. It was slightly more expensive on Amazon but only by dollars. The part came in 2 days as expected. It fit my 1996 Toyota 4Runner perfectly. I have only been driving on it for a couple of days but my truck drives like a dream again. I trust Amazon. I trust Toyota. Perfect match.
