OMG, no instructions, missing parts, hope it works(?), I bolted the actuator run the cables and everything but the kit was missing the push nut retainer.Have to find the right one and try it out

It’s really helpful when the truck is on I can just press unlock and you can access the tailgate without turning off the truck for keys. It was easy to install and everything was available. Highly recommend this product

Here's my review of the tail gate lock.Everything fits and works in a 2019 Tacoma double cab, long box. ...but zero instructions? Not even hints as to what to search for on YouTube or a bar code? Search for Pk3b6-35jl0 (ie what's listed as the color code in the ad) on YouTube and you'll likely find an OEM install to follow.The boot on the actuator won't stay in place on the body end on its own. There are 8 little rubber tabs sticking up (on the boot) that I folded over with a thin (supplied ones are too thick) zip tie and secured the boot to the body. You'll have to loosen the actuator / plate mounting screws to get the zip tie in place. No idea if that's what those tabs are for but it worked. Instructions would be nice. There's no clip supplied to positively secure the actuator to the existing post on the locking arm. It MUST be positively secured. It won't stay in place for more than an actuation or 2 on its own. I added a small zip tie (not supplied) which I'm hoping won't get torn up too quickly as it must be strategically located to permit full range of motion during actuation.Disconnect your rear view camera connection immediately forward of the rear bumper in order to install the supplied bumper pass thru plug. It'll save some frustration.Everything went well at the front although getting the supplied body pass thru grommet (integral with the supplied harness) to seat perfectly took some patience as access under the rug (ie under the front passenger seat) is very limited and somewhat limited under the truck.Twice when I walked away from the unlocked truck after installation I came back to a locked truck. Don't know what that was about but it seems to have stopped locking on its own now.Overall, I'm satisfied with the product and installation. It is half the price of the competition and one usually gets what one pays for. Time will tell
