It comes with many scratches and dents on the wood. For such a small bowl, you would hope it would at least come intact.

It's wood! It's a bowl! Best item in the history of everything! I do so much with this, like having it permanently sit on my counter while I am out working, knowing my bowl is functioning better than my wildest dreams! Then when I get home and put my keys and other things into it, I achieve nirvana and become one with the universe. This bowl has created world peace, and should be elected president of the milky way.

I got this bowl to have as a backup for a wedding ceremony in Maui. Koa wood is ridiculously expensive so I figured this would be a good substitute for the Hawaiian ring blessing ceremony. Came in a bubble wrap envelope (Really, Amazon? No box?) and was in good shape. I found a larger version locally in Maui and ended up using that one instead for the wedding. If you need a tiny bowl to hold some rings or tiny items, it works well. Otherwise it may be a bit small.

This bowl is smaller than I expected, but that's my fault, I was in a hurry and didn't pay close enough attention to the size. I bought it as a dish for my toddler. I try to avoid plastic and although she eats out of glass it's sort-of dangerous! This bowl is tiny, but I LOVE it! I do use it for my child, but I can see myself using it for many other things. I wish I'd ordered 2. It's beautiful wood, sturdy and well-made.
