The 12v was not working because the plug does not fully insert. Once the insulator under the plug was trimmed, then it started working

These were OK, but seem to not be as solidly made as another brand I have purchased, and the mounting isn't as flexible for game camera use. If you are mounting these permanently, this unit would be great. So far it's been working well for two or three months in winter in the deep south.

Wish some of the little doorbell cameras had holding batteries to supply a steady powerfor their use. For if the sun is under clouds for 4 days,--you dont get any power. This you willfor quite awhile, if you dont have too many pictures being taken!!They should sell some kind metal braid cable cover tho, as squirrels and racoons and everythingit seems-- just lovea to eat plastic wire coatings. They are made with oil I guess, and even mygreat big dog just loves to eats hoses and electric cords!!
