I bought this for my parents who were trying to figure out what sort of animals were chewing on one of their gutter extension drain pipes. I didn't want to spend a lot of money to get wifi, bluetooth, or any other high end features. I just wanted a basic unit to start out. This unit works very nicely - takes excellent pics and videos both day and night (night vision is b/w). The directions are not the best, but it's easy enough to figure out. It's in a plastic case that has an o-ring seal, and it seems to tolerate rain well enough. However, one day it was placed near a yard sprinkler and water ingress caused some corrosion on the pcb. It was past the return window so I took it apart (lots of little screws), cleaned the corrosion with some isopropyl alcohol, reassembled, and all was well again after that. We are now careful to avoid placing it near a sprinkler. So far we've captured images/vids of: bobcats, coyotes, raccoons, birds, lizards, squirrels, and rabbits. You have to manually remove the memory card and view/save on your computer, but that's not difficult. Also, note that vids are avi format only, so if you want to watch them on your apple device you'll need to convert to mp4 or mov. I am considering buying one to place in my own backyard to see what animals might be sneaking around! For the low price, I recommend.

The camera power cuts off and does not come back on until you unplug and plug back then it only stays on for a few seconds. Work good for two nights and then start giving trouble. May be this one is defected.The seller promised to give a refund more than three weeks ago, As of today 7/12/24 I have not yet receive my refund.

First, for the price it does ok. There are some drawbacks that people should consider.First, it records video in AVI format and there is no option to change that. This format is an old windows format that can be viewed on any windows computer. I have an IPhone and a chromebook. So after downloading 7 different apps that promise to run AVI video I gave up and just use the photo option only.That brings me to the picture quality. It certainly is not 24mp quality. It’s ok, but not anywhere close to what would be “standard “ for today’s cameras.The positives: User interface is simple. Battery life seems good. Build quality is fine. No obvious defects or quality issues.This camera is relegated to watching my chicken coop, so it’s fine. I wouldn’t use this to scout hunting areas though. Spend a little more money and get a name brand camera for that.

This camera is easy to use. The pictures are clear and the color is vivid. Night vision is also clear and does not scare the animals, which was an important feature for me. I deducted one star because I was looking specifically for a camera that had picture zoom right on the camera, with no computer needed. It appears there are no zoom capabilities on the camera. The description should contain more detailed information on what it actually can do with and without a computer.

I got this for my boyfriend since he was having problems with people breaking into the dumpster at his business. It was very easy to setup, takes great pictures day and night. So far, seems to work pretty good and has decent battery life.

This is a simple non-WiFi camera, perfect for what we wanted to start with. We put it out back in our woods just to see what’s wandering around. The picture quality is great, especially for the price. Seems to hold up well with the weather. We are happy with our very first experience with a trail cam.
