Replaced an oem mirror with this. My oem mirror lost its folding and telescoping abilities. This unit did fix those issues, but the mirror itself does not adjust properly with the joystick. It will not go left, right, up, or down. It only moves diagonal up/right, and diagonal down/left. I verified that it was not the joystick control. These mirrors are a bit cheaper than an oem replacement, but if it doesn't work properly, it's not worth much.

The reason for one star is that one of the mirror tilt functions does not work and all other functions work fine. Wiring color code and the plug are the same and there is power at the plug. Will trouble shoot and update when possible.

We thoroughly enjoy these mirrors! The visibility is a night-and-day difference compared to the factory mirrors—we can see 100% better. If you’re towing a trailer, these mirrors are an absolute must. The build quality is excellent, and the blind spot coverage is a game-changer. Highly recommend!

Solid build quality compared to OEM. All motorized equipment worked well in addition to lights. No weird wind noises etc.but.The outer tow mirror cracked during install indicating it’s VERY thing and low quality. Rest seemed excellent.Amazon offers no way to make this right other than a full refund. But it’s already installed. Would love to just have a new outer mirror to make it right.

Good mirror that matched oem on my 2021 Ram 2500. Or should I say would of matched but i missed it had the lane departure warning light and my truck does not so wiring pins were in different locations. Returned for full refund.

Great replacement. By eye, wouldn't know it wasn't OEM. The only difference I could find was that while adjusting the mirror, the motor is slightly louder. But it is secure, meaning no noticeable vibration like I've seen with other aftermarket mirrors. The power fold works great. Hopefully the chrome coating is as durable as the OEM. I'm a happy camper for the price.

This was just what we needed. It is a quality part. It fit and works perfectly. And it cost a third of the factory part. The tech who did the instal said it was the best OEM truck mirror he’s ever seen. Be careful when you order it. Make sure that you by a mirror with exactly the functionality you need. We needed a manual folding, telescoping towing mirror, with heating and blind spot, but not with tilt-down back up. Get to that level of detail, or you could be disappointed. I’m very happy to say, we weren’t.

Man. It's like Alice Through the Looking Glass buying a replacement mirror. This thing OEM and installed by the dealer is 1500 plus. It's a mirror for crying out loud, a side view mirror... on a truck. Not a Bugatti, a Ford. Granted it does tricks but 1500 worth?Rant off.Pros:Price, relatively speaking. Most junkyard equivalents are over 800 so new with a lifetime warranty for fivish versus any other option of hundreds more with less or no warranty is a no brainer.Quality. I can't tell this from factory except two items which will be in the cons so I have something to put in the cons. This mirror has a lifetime warranty covering manufacturer defects. Does Ford? Do any of the fleabay aftermarket alternatives that are unclear in their descriptions of what their mirrors actually do electro-mechanically? Do the scrap yard pulloffs? Here's a pro tip. No they do not.Installation: almost flawless. See cons for the almost.Support. 1A Auto is apparently a pretty big aftermarket player. I don't know them since I'm basically an OEM guy, that is until factory wants 1200 for a mirror and another three clams to slap it in. So this is my first how do you do with 1A and I am one happy camper. Videos for DIY installation, well defined whatcha get, good phone service but expect a wait time. I have no association with this seller but I can't recommend them enough (so far).Shipping. Arrived sooner than papa Amazon promised and the box in the box may have killed more trees than I like but delivered a pristine product well packaged in form fit foam and the bits and bobs in their own respective boxes instead of stuffed in a baggie and rattling round in the box.Extras. Not really extra but a pleasant inclusion is the smoked parking light lens and bulbs. I didn't need nor want to replace the OEM tinted lens with the smoked lens Trail Ridge provides. Fair enough, that's what you get in the box. They also provide a matching lens and bulbs for the other mirror. Not a magical thing but there is an avenue to squeeze the buyer for a couple extra bucks that they didn't make me go down. Sure they got it in the price of the mirror but at least I got matching lenses.ConsDifferences from stock. Two minor issues. The Trail Ridge mirror folds at a noticeably faster rate than the factory mirror on the driver side. Could be just that the factory mirror is four years old. Anyway, the Trail Ridge is faster, not slower so not much to whine about. The Trail Ridge wiring harness is 18 wire in a 22 pin connector just like factory. The wires are not color coded the same as factory though. That ruffles my feathers but as long as the pixies get to the right address no harm no foul. What I wish they included. The o-rings on the marker light sockets were dry rotted on both mirrors on my truck. I was able to come up with replacements from my stock but I don't think most people would have them handy. A short money item that would have been nice to find in the box with the lenses and bulbs.More inconvenient is the mirror caps. Ford offers three types: black, chrome and primed for paint. Mine are chrome. Trial Ridge does not offer the mirror with caps at all let alone with a choice of flavor. 1A Auto does offer caps but not on Amazon. Go to the 1A site to order them. They add more than 10% to the cost and you have to order two regardless whether you need one or two, but you can get them through 1A and they do fit the mirror and they look factory. Still, it would be nice to get the cap as part of the mirror package since it is, well, part of the mirror. Failing that buying a pair is easy on the vendor but hard on the consumer that may just need one. Even then, whatever way 1A sells caps they should be available on Amazon alongside the mirror that they sell on Amazon.I learned a couple of things on this odyssey.Caps versus covers. There are chrome covers available for these mirrors. Do not be fooled. They aren't caps. They are either covers that fit over the caps (like you have a black cap already but want to chrome it for less than replacing the black cap with a chrome one) and are kept in place by double sided tape or are covers that go over the entire back of the mirror and also are sticky tape mounted. Neither are substitutes for a real "cap".The last thing is that there are a bunch of variants from Ford. Base is maual everything. Manual telescope, manual fold, manual mirror adjustment, no defrost. The one I have is at the opposite end of the spectrum, power fold, telescope and mirror adjust, defrost and Outside Air Temp sensor. The various midlevel mirrors have different levels of options within that range and their wiring harnesses differ accordingly. Do not expect to buy my mirror and get the functionality if your mirror wiring is for a different mirror. Can you make it work? Sure. It's not apples to apples though.
