I'm guessing not all cargo trailers are like mine, but I have some top rails that this fit onto without a hassle. The rack itself can extend/contract and the trick was to get it installed on the sides first before locking it in.I've used it exclusively for lighter aluminum ladders so can't speak to the load limits. there are probably better racks out there, but for moderate duty and a trailer with rails this works well.Paint seems legit and took about 20 minutes to install in my case.

If it will hold ladders, then solar panels are no problem. 2 panels, 200 watts each. It was quite easy to install clips to mount it all down. Probably just about the fastest way to put panels on a utility trailer, too. I highly recommend.

Oh... you don't? Then let me explain. No, there is too much. Let me sum up.This rack is pretty great. Light strong, adjustable, moveable (in theory), and easy to install. I used my own hardware for reasons, and it is great.

The quality of the coated aluminum is actually very nice, but I am not sure how the coating will hold up over time when loading ladders on and off. The construction quality of all the components is good and I appreciate the fact that it is quite adjustable for your particular needs. The hardware they included with the kit is a nice stainless-steel set that should help with any rust issues. I did add a little sealant on each bolt to help eliminate any possibility of water intrusion through the holes in the trailer. It does state a 400# weight rating, but I am not sure I would test that rating. It will hold ladders just fine, but I am not sure I would want to overload with lumber and ladders and drive down a bumpy construction site. I think you can get cheaper ones out there, but this one is built well and has a nice coating that I think will stay looking good for quite a long time. By paying a little extra, I do think it shows in the quality of the build and the quality of parts included in the kit.
