I ended up not needing this item because turns out my Benz has no transmission fluid tube. It’s a sealed transmission, nevertheless this dipstick seems well made, thick not flimsy made of metal. The o-rings and clips included are a must because they are a one time use. They must be replaced every time you want to check your transmission fluid ( for those that do have a transmission fluid tube in their MBenz).

They make these longer than necessary for my vehicle but it doesn’t affect usage. It’s a dipstick with level indicators nothing complex but it works great.

The item was delivered late for my project. I blame Amazon for the late delivery. I had to buy the item locally at a Mercedes Benz Stealer and paid an arm and a leg for it. Otherwise, the product looked to be of good quality (without having to open the sealed packaging).

The cheapest quote I could find just to check the fluid level in my transmission was $50. So I bought this dipstick and voila.I must add this note.. when inserting the dipstick it won't go very far and it stops if you twist it just a little bit it'll go further then stop again.... give it another little twist and it'll go all the way in to where it should be and you can check the level. Almost the entire length of the dipstick will be inserted when it's where it should be.

I got this to test the fluid in my W210 E55. The quality seems to be good. The plastic measuring tab at the end is flexible, but *might* break off if you bottom out too hard. The included locking tabs and o-rings are less than OEM quality through. But they will work well enough to keep the transmission cap secured.

Better than the one the garage that serviced the transmission used. For my Mercedes S500 it was a couple of inches too long to go all the way in but still bottoms out and shows the level of the oil accurately. The little red locking pins were not used by me because I want to check my own fluid and they are a nuisance to me. Should have bought a cheaper one without them to save money.

Worked great, lots of extra keys which is great cause I know I’ll lose a few! Much better than paying Mercedes $300 to check fluids.
