Your cart is empty.This part is a replacement for the OEM latch (strike plate/ retainer) for the forward sliding moonroof cover in a Chevrolet Traverse GMC Acadia. It was modeled for a 2020 model year Chevrolet Traverse but it may also fit other GM vehicles that use the same Retainer (P/N 84691055). If you're not sure, send us a message and we'll help you figure it out. Please include a picture if you have one. This part is made from a proprietary carbon composite material. This material offers high strength, toughness, and chemical resistance by using the latest technology in 3D printing. This part is much stronger and will last much longer than the original. This part does not come with fasteners. You will need to reuse the original fasteners. Do not over-tighten.

Fits perfectly, made out of plastic like original. Hopefully will last. Easy to install, just need Tork bit to reuse two screws. Be careful not to drop & lose them, they are short.

This replacement latch for the sunroof worked out really well. I have a 2017 GMC Acadia. A family member opened the sunroof cover up a little too aggressively & the latch broke. Apparently The sunroof and moonroof latches are prone to breaking, & is a known issue. This is a bad design flaw of GMC. I had a very difficult time trying to find a latch replacement. This company seems to be about the only one that has a replacement for the front sunroof, without going to GMC and buying an original part. It took about a week for it to arrive through the post office. I like that it's very easy to replace. All that's needed is a T20 torx bit. It took less than 30 seconds to swap out with the broken one.I'm very happy with this product. The only difference between the original part & the replacement is that the GMC part had metal reinforced in the holes where the screws go into. (Maybe they should have reinforced the latch itself with metal in the first place. But that's just me thinking out loud. Lol)Overall, this product is great. I'm very happy with my purchase. I would definitely buy it again.

I usually don't bother fixing my car myself... come on that it what the dealership is for....am I right? But after spending a good 10 minutes on the phone with the local dealer explaining what I needed, only to be told that they would call me back with they had the part, I decided to turn to the internet and amazon in particular. I have the 2020 Traverse Premier. For what I paid for the car, I expected higher quality, but that is a review for another place. You need a special screwdriver bit, but this thing is easy to install and works like a charm. I previously had issues with the rear latch and unfortunately it is installed with rivets, so it is a lot harder to do a DIY job. Five stars.

Ordered sunroof clip for my 2019 Acadia. Very good quality upgrade over oem cheap abs plastic that literally snapped when we were driving. Luckily shades didn’t break. Do yourself a favor and ordered front and rear if you have rear panoramic glass.
