I blew the motor, thethe minor little pieces to the interior of the engine got too soft the gas began chipping or just failing to turn over properly loved it while it ran but for the price and the fact it easily brakes from within the crank pieces I'm a little in dislike with the product I had 3 of these engines it gets costly to have fun

The motor was in perfect condition. Spray some WD-40 and turn with the flywheel before attempting to pull the cord. It has a very tight fit from factory and will most likely snap the cord. Follow brake in procedure and maintenance and this guy rips.

The engine has a short shaft... I was unable to install the clutch on it...

While I haven't driven it yet it came in perfect condition. It doesn't come with the fly wheel or transmission so you'll have to buy that seperate.

Product was on time but when i opened the box the first thing i did was pull the starter cord and the engine would not turn over. it is locked up. it may be able to be saved, fixed or repaired. but i did expect it to turn overout of the box. I have not tried to diagnose or read any trouble shooters yet. I may have to return it.

love this engine. I bought it for my sport. (not from amazon though) the engine is great. took a bit to break it in and tune it but when I finally did it was popping wheelies like no tomorrow. I had to change some gears because the torque of the engine was a bit much for the engine. I had to get the 2.5 conversion kit for it and change out the throttle arm which didn't take me to long to do. over all the engine is there. the only thing is it goes through fuel like to tomorrow.

For anyone who is considering buying this motor you need to do your homework. As with most nitro motors these motors are meant to be replacement type motors, or upgrade motors. If you do a little research (like you should do with all purchases) you will be aware these motors are bare meaning no flywheel, clutch, or spur, but this is how 75% of all motors come, especially from traxxas. That doesn't make the motor cheap, or a bad motor, it just means you have to be aware if what you are getting and not going by the pictures alone. As someone who owns this motor (Jato 3.3) I will attest this motor rips. So take the bad reviews with a grain of salt since they don't rate the motor at all, they just attack the vendor for their lack of knowledge.That all being said don't fault the company selling the product for the way Traxxas sells their products. They are at the mercy if Traxxas and their part system. And finally remember to DO YOUR REASEARCH. Don't buy based on a picture alone. 90% of the pictures come from the Traxxas site which warns you products shown may not always be included.
