It’s the wrong part! I received a 13 tooth gear but the Xmaxx comes with an 11 tooth. Probably why most of the reviews are breaking theirs. It might come from Traxxas but no where is the part number shown

Weak, pour design, made of pot metal, but more or less stuck with it for now, broke one first day. Machined helical rear still on back order, a quick tip because I'm on my third "buy spacers" axial racing sells a set for $6 on here 18x15x0.2mm helps push pinion deaper into ring gear when added to the back. I used 2 on each and so far holding well.

I will give it three stars due to the fact that it came in a timely fashion. My only complaint is the quality of these stock pinions. My xmaxx eats one every time I use it. With the stock motor and esc, the stock gears should be able to withstand the full potential of the vehicle.....as in running the 6s lipo batteries. If you have 6s batteries with the xmaxx or have added a aftermarket motor and esc, look for the traxxas 7778x spiral cut ring and pinion.
