The plastic cover is very strong and feels like high quality. I was a little bit annoyed because I was expecting the wall parts as well for the price based on the pictures in the ads, I was informed that this is the norm. I wish the ad did a better job of communicating what you're actually getting.

If you are a homeowner with window wells you quickly find out that window well covers made from polycarbonate are EXPENSIVE. There's no way around it. Go ahead and price them out online and locally. The big box stores don't even carry this specialty product. What the big box stores usually carry is cheapo acrylic window well covers for $10. One hit with a basketball and cheap covers are shattered. Polycarbonate window well covers like this one from Tredre are a big upgrade. It ships in a big flat cardboard box with protective film and minimal packaging. Polycarbonate is tough. It arrived fine.My digital caliper is showing the polycarbonate is exactly 5mm thick. (0.196 inches)Window wells come in all shapes and sizes. Some are custom made. Measure carefully before ordering. And even if you measure 5 times, there may still be some customizing on your end to make it fit with your installed window well. Nothing an average DIY'er can't accomplish with little sweat. It comes with instructions, clips and a drill bit (BIG THANKS).

This Window Well Cover doesn't work with my window well because the clips are too long to seat on my window well due to there being a lip on the inside of my window well that the bottom of the clips hit before the clip seats. The lip also makes it that the clip would need to be fastened to the cover at an angle. These aren't universal Window Well Covers.

This window well cover is very nicely made and constructed from quality material. When I read the description before ordering I was pleased to see that it is made out of polycarbonate and not acrylic. Polycarbonate is far superior in strength and UV resistance making for a product that will really last. It's also beautifully made with a nice crisp straight bend, smooth polished edges and a clean arc. Also the kit came with nice quality hardware to install it with. if you are looking for a window well cover, look no further because you won't find anything nicer.
