  • Spread seeds when soil temperatures are at least 55 degrees and there is no frost or drought in the forecast.
  • With proper soil contact and moisture the seeds will germinate in 1-2 weeks and be very tiny and not look like clover at first.
  • After 3-4 weeks the seedlings will look like clover and be about 1-2" tall.
  • It is critical to mow the area regularly at 2-3" to keep other vegetation from overtaking the seedlings.

This review is for the "Flawn:Tri-Color Clover Seed, Equal Mix of Crimson Red Clover, Medium Red Clover, Dutch White Clover, Compostable Pouch".This bag of mixed seed claims to covers up to 250 square feet. I did not have the same result as that, but did cover an area about 75 ft wide and 1 ft in depth (75 square feet) quite nicely. The seeds that did sprout, sprouted rather quickly and provided good ground coverage in the space in front of my shrubs.You can plant really anytime after fear of frost is gone. In SC our winters are mild. Germinates throughout Spring, Summer and Fall. Require very little maintenance. Do not come back year after year. The tallest flower is about 6 inches tall and these look better when plants in a crowd... meaning don't space them out too much or they;ll look like stray wildflowers. Maybe that's how they're claiming 250 square feet. For $14, I'd order again.

Advertised to cover 500 square feet, however, spread conservatively, barely covered 25 square feet. Only about 5 tablespoons of seed. Im also sure that 90% of the seed was sterile. Wish i could give negative stars

Its the wrong time of year for me to plant but they all sprouted in a paper towel within a few days! Can't wait to plant in the spring!

These clover seeds have excellent germination rates! I was impressed by how quickly and uniformly they sprouted. They are a great choice for anyone looking to grow a lush cover crop or ground cover. Overall, I’m really happy with how well they performed!
