This would have been a good prong to rely on since my first shot got a nice fish. However a prong was bent, which I straightened and continued on. With each fish speared and missed, it began to break and or bend each prong that by the time I was done, so was this. Bent like pretzels is a good description with 2 of the prongs snapped by rock Impact. I spearfish a lot, and a long time ago I had a 5 pronged head that I remembered fondly. This is an insult to everything and why amazon carries such Chinese junk is beyond my comprehension. Stick to the dive shop's quality 3 prong hardened steel spearheads. Shame on Amazon, I should have returned it but where I live is remote and returning wasn't an option. Waste of money.

I used this with a pole spear in the Bahamas this spring (2023) after buying it in November. I shot two small Lionfish on a grass bank (no rocks involved). When putting the safety cap back on for storage two of the prongs broke off.I suppose it does make the item description (“Trident Stainless Steel Multiprong Paralyzer 5 Spear Tip”) more accurate in one way: a TRI-dent technically has only three prongs, but still, I’m a little disappointed. The rust is also indicative of the poor-quality stainless steel used. (Note the lack of rust on the base which is made of a higher-grade stainless.)
