Bought this item for my boat and never would run right. Put in shop to have a marine technician look at it and it was the cheap trigger the whole time so several hundred dollars later, an oem trigger and lesson learned. Boat runs great now. Do not recommend buying this

Ordered for 4 cylinder mercury, install and it didn't work and timing couldn't be set, this is the second one I have ordered, not from the same company but neither work, had to order OEM

It’s tempting, half the price of CDI original equipment but I knew better and found out. Don’t buy this. Spark timing was way off, so bad I ended up putting the original trigger back on. You get what you pay for.
