I would really love to give the whole 5 stars. This brace is exactly what I needed for my reconstructed thumb that I splayed open like an aging tulip with a table saw. But it had one unfortunate flaw on both the S/M and M/L versions. The straps that hold the upper thumb in place are quite short, leaving them with insufficient velcro over the back of the brace to properly secure it. I do not have large hands nor large nor thick fingers. Even so, while the brace secures the MCP join well, the IP joint and distal phalanx are eventually left unsecured as the straps don't hold for long. I am bummed to have to return both braces.

Fit is good comparing with chart. Great thumb immobilization! I used it for a badly broken thumb.

Sometimes you feel like you can’t live with your kids but you also can’t live without them. My 16 year old is an avid softball player and during practice caught the ball wrong. Broke their thumb done the middle and around to the middle joint. Insurance would only cover a wrist splint and said child was not following precautions appropriately with this splint that medical only would cover, plus it was over kill. This splint on Amazon allowed my kiddo to at least have movement in their fingers and as they said it doesn’t get as funky as the wrist splint from the doctors. Also it is more comfortable. Less areas that felt like pressure sores were developing which is like duh mom why do you think I wasn’t following the precautions and wanting to take it off or loosening it up. Well now it makes sense after I had bought this one. It was like night and day. Imagine going from uncomfortable shoes that was causing blisters and making your feet hurt especially after you had an injury to your foot to all of a sudden you got a new pair of shoes that did feel right and you let out that sigh of relief. That is what this splint was to my child and also less restrictive because it was primarily for their thumb. I do wish it could have came faster but it also wasn’t weeks and I ordered right before a holiday and it was set to arrive on a Monday that was a holiday, so that isn’t the sellers fault. I do highly highly highly recommend this product. The size was perfect, I did look at the measurement to be safe and you should too. We have had no issues with the Velcro. The Quality of the product seems better than what we got from the doctors office. It didn’t break the bank and was well worth the money. This was well well well worth every penny spent.

If you want to immobilize your thumb, this is a good brace. I find it practical when I need to do so to prevent further stress the thumb and CMC joint when doing things. Not that comfortable typing, and not that comfortable to me to wear all day, but like I said it does help to immobilize it when I am doing things around the house, so it helps to prevent further deterioration and pain.

It's hard to decide what I like about this, or don't so much. I've had two other thumb splints, one an "official" Medicare-paid one. What matters most is fit, and the dimensions for one's actual thumb. That varies so much, all you can do is try it.This has a little flex, which keeps your thumb from feeling trapped inside. It's lightweight and probably as comfortable as can be.The one problem, an individual one I guess, is that it makes my thump itch; a lot; too much to be able to use this. Aside from that I recommend it. I'm deducting one star because the one material they use seems to invite an allergic reaction common to others. If your skin tolerates most anything, it shouldn't be a problem.

This cones with 2 options.and both options work as described. The firmer insert is great for sleeping when i curl my hands in, and the flexible insert is great for when i need to maintain supported functionality. Its easy to clean.Easy to put on.I can definitely feel the support it provides my thumb and i feel better for having this brace. This was a good decision and i would highly recommend this thumb and wrist stabilizer if you are experiencing pain or usage issues.10/10 would get again and would recommend

It was just as described. It is comfortable and does immobilize my thumb. But it just feels very bulky to wear all day. Looking at the pictures the one that says made of breathable material I thought it would have been a thinner brace. But over all not a bad product.

My doctor recommended I wear a thumb splint when my arthritis gets painful and this is perfect.I bought the S/M and it fits my tiny hands well, but if you're more a medium, you might consider going up a size.I got a different split a few months ago that had the stabilizers on either side of the thumb, and wasn't as happy with it, as I really need something to keep my thumb intended out. This one is great for that, and it has 2 inserts. A really solid one which I'm using, and a more flexible one if thats what is needed. Getting the solid one out takes a bit of wriggling, but its not all that difficult. My thumb seems quite pleased with this splint.
