Not the best, but I guess you get what you pay for!! No adjustable to screw on the part the gear cable fits through, so a lot of fiddling trying to mesh the gears up, but hay hoo, defo would not recommend ,but as I said I should have guessed that with the price!!

Precise shifting and excellent braking power with cantilevers. Go for it!

Edit: have had these on my bike for over 1000 miles now and they still work flawlessly These shifters work perfectly. No issues thus far after having put over 100 miles on em. For me, they have a nice hand feel when shifting/selecting gears. They also look and fit just fine on my drop bars. Zero issues with self installation.Overall, for the price, it’s a great deal.Highly recommend.

If you need a 3x8 system on the cheap, these will work. They feel nice and shift well-ish.The right shifter is perfect and shifts totally fine but I had to crank it down HARD because it kept sliding down the bars. Thought I was going to break it.The left shifter is ok. clamped to the bars just fine. no sliding. There seems to be a "trim" position so it feels like a 4 speed moving up then a 3 speed coming down. I don't know if my set is broken or if that's how they all are. Its slow to shift from 2 down to 1. I have tried adjusting it every-which-way and eventually got it "good enough". It's still slow and the chain rubs in certain positions. It just feels like the indexing is off. Both shifters have a short throw for the brakes. I am running mini v-brakes and they "work" but honestly you need road brakes with a short throw for these to work well. I can slow down slowly fine, but the levers touch the handlebars in an emergency stop.Overall, they are fine. Probably going to switch back to something more reliable. Just remember, you get what you pay for.

A bit cumbersome to install, but the average bike jock should be able to get it done. The shifting and braking is not as precise as I hoped. But it is a low cost alternative.

I actually somewhat like these more than my 105 hydraulics. The shifts are crisp, the ratchet mechanism is actually metal and NOT plastic as the other reviewer said, and the braking feels good. Very easy to install. The hoods are nicely shaped and would fit smaller hands very well.

These were perfect for my 26" old mountain bike conversion to gravel bike. The shifters feel sturdy and are vary comfortable to rest my weight on the hoods. Don't get me wrong, these are not Ultegra level quality but they are perfect if your looking for cheap as possible like I was. My only complaint so far is I wish the shifter cables were routed along the bar instead of out front (But I knew that would be the case going into it)

I needed an exact replacement for my 3x8 shifters for my 2015 Cross-Rip. After 22k miles the right hand shifter could no longer hold the derailleur steady. I didn't want to pay for Shimano, nor do I like how the new Claris rout the shifter cables under the handlebar tape. These are not exact replacements. You are going to have to re-learn how to shift and brake all over again, but it won't take long. These are easiest to operate from the hoods. Index finger shifts to a smaller cog or chain ring, and the middle finger shifts to a larger one. There are 3 separate levers instead of 2. But they work great. The shifts are precise, the left hand has the middle 1/2 shift that you sometimes need to stop the derailleur from rubbing the chain, and they require less effort to brake. I didn't realize how irritating worn out shifters can make riding with the chain jumping from cog to cog all by itself. I don't know how long they will last, but for now I think they are worth the price.Updating this since I am getting asked a lot of questions lately. Two years and about 10,000 miles later, these shifters are still working. Not perfect, but for the price, they are still 5 stars. I commute, I crash, I ride in the rain, I drop my bike while fixing flats. These are not eye candy, but they do the job.

These were installed to replace downtube shifters. They seem to work well but not as smooth as Shimano.Threading the brake cable into the hole in the lever was difficult.
