Bought this to make it easier to record my son's football games. I was having a hard time seeing the screen in the bright sun. It's light weight and very versatile. Also keeps my recording device from over heating. Good build quality and functionality. It folds up small enough to fit in a large backpack. Good value for the money spent

I have been videoing my sons games since their first and over the years I have had to balance videoing and holding an umbrella at the same time whether it was because it was raining or I was in direct sun. I have finally found the answer to not having to do that. This nifty umbrella is awesome!!! Easy to install, sturdy, and just the right size to do it's job while not being so heavy that I have to worry about it constantly falling or needing readjusting. The face that the post is bendable is also awesome, this way if the sun position shifts it's easy for me to position the umbrella as needed without having to uninstall and reinstall again. The parent next to me who was also videoing her kiddo literally said " Oh my goodness, that is genius!" Supe happy with this purchase!

This umbrella has a great rubber lined attachment design and I appreciated the ability to change the angle of the umbrella while attached to the tripod. In sun it does a great job, keeping the hot rays off the camera equipment.However, my praise ends there if you are intending to use this in the rain as well.In a very light sprinkle this umbrella may keep your equipment dry. However if there is rain for a significant amount of time, or if the rain is anything more than a light sprinkle the design is heavily flawed and your equipment will get wet. The fabric seams that run along the underside of the umbrella surface are NOT water tight. Beads of water make their way through from the topside, building up on the underside, before eventually falling directly on the equipment below.My take - buy this if you only work in the sun, avoid if you also shoot in the rain.

Die Idee funktioniert, aber der Schirm sollte etwas länger sein, damit er am Stativ angeschraubt hoch genug über die Kamera reicht. Die in der Produktbeschreibung abgebildeten Proportionen stimmen nicht - besser vorher am eigenen Equipment abmessen. Mit einer kleineren Ausrüstung funktioniert es sicher gut, aber es kommt an die Grenzen, wenn das Stativ stabiler ist (dann reicht die Klemme kaum und nur umständlich für die breiteren Beine) und die Kamera ein Stückchen größer oder höher. Der Schirm selbst scheint aus stabilem Material hergestellt zu sein, die Klemme am Stativ und das Gelenk (um den Winkel einzustellen) sind aber recht minderwertig und nur ausgesprochen grob einzustellen.

I live in Texas. I filmed first football game before I purchased this. My camera over heated and shutdown several times. Bought this lifesaver and kept camera cooler. Worked like a charm. Was capable to filming 3 games instead of one. Stayed cool the entire time in 110° weather direct sun beating down on me.

I've tried them ALL. Golf umbrella with two brackets, hot shoe mini umbrella, Think Tank hydrophobia cover, towels, ponchos, everything. This one works. Its the only one that did.
