This is the perfect gift for puzzle people; from the whimsical pieces to the beautiful container. The picture for assembly is large enough to piece it together.The wood pieces are small, but fit together well and how cute that my butterfly puzzle has caterpillar and butterfly pieces!!!! This puzzle is sufficiently challenging.The glass jar for storage is ideal and secure.It is a great gift.

This is a wooden puzzle that isn't held in a cardboard box, it's in a clear apothecary jar. After taking the jar out of the packaging, you can take the puzzle out of the plastic bag and pour the pieces into the jar. The lid holds tightly, so there's no worry about spilling pieces.The puzzle is wood. It has a different feel to it and the pieces connect a bit differently since the cut between each piece wider than with cardboard puzzles. It is a fun puzzle to do, especially with some of the special-shaped pieces. There's a picture you can refer to if you want to, it's just not on a box cover.

Love the photo of the many nesting dolls. Each doll is unique and brightly colored. The gift tag contains a folded poster of the completed puzzle, not full size, more like 75% size.There are a few very unique pieces that nestle inside each other, carrying the theme of nesting dolls. A nice surprise with the special "crowning achievement" pin.Many of the puzzle pieces do not interlock. Even around the square edge pieces. You will only find 3 of the standard 90 degree angle corner pieces. But if anyone nudges the puzzle, the pieces separate. As my granddaughter and I worked on the puzzle, it became too frustrating for her. Pieces are quite small, most are 3/4 in by 3/4 in.The glass jar is a unique way to store the puzzle. My personal preference is a wood box for the wooden puzzles. Allows me the option of storing the puzzles flat on top of each other. This Trove puzzle will have a special place on a shelf.Storage issue and the frustration of very loose and shifting pieces is why I gave the puzzle 3 stars. It is a great puzzle gift with a unique presentation. If you can work with the looseness, this might be the puzzle for you!

So, the image, the container, the quality of the pieces and the reference photo are all 4 stars. I especially liked the glass jar that it came in, which was something I hadn't seen before.However, the pieces are cut in such a way that they do not fit snugly together. I had trouble telling if a piece actually fit even when it was where it was supposed to be. If that doesn't bother you, the rest of the puzzle is definitely worth the money.

Current price as of date of review: $39.00I love that this comes in a jar. It is now sitting on the side table in my dining room waiting for the next time my niece and nephew spend the night so we can put it together. I went through the jar and all of the pieces are well made, bright colors, and no peeling off from the backing. I think that this would make a great gift for the puzzle lover in your life. I like this and would recommend.

This is a puzzle with wood pieces, easy to fit together. It has a picture reference sheet that is helpful to find pieces that fit together. The puzzle pieces are in an attractive glass jar, rather than the usual box. The presentation is nice for a gift. At 250 pieces, this is good for older kids or anyone who doesn’t want to commit to a lot of time on a puzzle.

We had two pieces that had a chip off, but we found the chips and glued them on.Two things that frustrated me. One is that the colors on the example print imho are too different from the puzzle itself. The puzzle is vibrant in color, the print is more muted (red becomes orange, that kind of stuff). I am the type of person that grabs a piece and tries to find it back on the example print, and some times I was just puzzled over where it should go because the colors don't match. The pieces themselves all fit together but they don't hold together. If you move a piece a bit over, the piece next to it will likely just stay behind and not move with it. The jar seems like a fun thing but I would have preferred a box with a good and larger print. The price was $31.85 when I ordered, and I think that is too much for what you're getting.

The puzzle = SO cute. Perfect quality for a wooden puzzle (I love the smell *shrug*)The jar = homaigod. It’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. It’s part of my table scape in my office (therapy) and so many clients get so tickled to see it, to realize there’s a puzzle in it, and get to put the puzzle back in when they are done. A+
