Great product, however price is high comparing to other brands at same level. Could have changed the entire crank set with shimano for the price of this chainring. However wanted to keep my factory spec and I payed for the extra price.

This item was exactly like the original equipment. It fit perfectly and works like a charm. It also arrived promptly within four days. It cost a little extra than some cheaper brands but I’ve done that before and have been disappointed. This one was a winner.

I replaced a 5 year old chain ring on my Specialized MTB. Changed the chain at the same time as well as the smaller chain ring. Big difference in shifting - much crisper and less noise. I did the work myself, and it was actually quite easy, just required a few Allen Wrenches of the right type. I took a look on Youtube just to see what I was getting into on the crank that had to be removed to do the replacement.Good for another 5 years? I hope so ... :-)I kept the cassette on the back wheel as I alternate between 2 sets of wheels (road/MTB) and with 10 gears, I am guessing that the sprockets being steel are less worn out than the chain ring which is aluminium (that definately goes first). The cassette was almost 50 bucks x 2 so I was willing to take a chance on the chain wearing out ... we'll see.

The chain on my mountain bike was intermittently dropping from the chain ring after several years of hard use. The original chain ring had visible damage to the teeth and body. I purchased this as an exact replacement. It was the same chain ring even down to the position of the lettering. Install was easy. Now my chain doesn't drop and the bike shifts significantly smoother.
