Heavy duty. Thick plastic and dense foam. Does NOT fit pistols with flashlights. I carved out an indentation for the flashlight(s) with a razor blade. Many configurations are possible by moving the foam pieces around. Very nice quality!

The case is excellently well built and justifies the price very well. I have a couple of other cases bought from the large "Big Box" store and this beats them all the way. These are the places where this shines.1. Build quality - the plastic is excellent and there is no flex in it. Close and it hits the locks exactly where they are supposed to be and locks.2. Rear hinge is well built so the lid stays intact.3. Locking holes on either side and pressure equalization valve4. Includes a dessicant canister that can be recharged.The foam blocks are also good and the magazine slots seems to be designed for Glock mags. The modularity of the blocks is good and allows for center block to be used for other utilities. All in all, it is great, though honestly, I believe the revolvers are not handled well by the case.

Very well thought out design to haul pistols and magazines. Keep in mind if traveling by air your magazines can be loaded but they need a top cover. Otherwise you can use a pistol slot for boxed ammunition. Durable case for transport and travel.

I love this case! Well worth the price! I can fit 8 pistols, or 6 pistols and 2 noise canceling ear muffs and/or ammo. Plus the 16 holes for magazines could be used for other purposes as well. Case shuts very well, and feels very durable to protect my guns safely. If you are looking for something like this, this is definitely the one to get! Highly recommended!

My first thought was who needs a case for 8 of these then realized it is appropriate for us. Once you start collecting you don't realize how quickly you end up with a bunch.This is a nicely made, strong, durable case. The inside has eggcrate at the top to hold things in place, the case itself has rigid foam cushioning for each piece you put in it. There are some smaller pieces that you can take out to help each one fit into its own individual slot.I did fly with this case, however I did not fly with anything in it, I was just taking it from one place for use in another. I carried it on - again, it was EMPTY - and found it to be light (empty) enough to manage. I'm sure if we are to travel with it packed it would be more weighty but for my experience the handle was comfortable to hold while walking and carrying it. I did not notice any marks on it from being stowed.The lid opens with little effort. Overall this is a comfortable case to use, but I have not yet traveled with it fully packed so I can't speak to the process with TSA and compliance on that point.

This is an excellent case that I rated at a 4 1/2 ..... but the 1/2 star deduction is a minor annoyance.As you see in the photo I have 3 other cases to compare this handgun case to. Not all the others are designed for handguns, but the comparisons are on how well the case itself is made.This is the only one that has all the features noted below that make this a standout design.1. Full rear hinge with metal rod.2. Special safety catch - see the red tab? You need to push that down while flipping the latch open. __These latches won't pop open accidentally. A very nice design none of the others have.3. Locking holes on either side and pressure equalization valve (all others have these too).4. ID panel under the handle.Included is a desiccant canister to keep moisture and rust at bay, a nice add!The foam blocks inside are good and firm, and modular to a point. The handgun on the left has a slim light/laser mounted on the rail. I was able to close the lid without pressure, but It would have fit nicely if the second layer of foam was removable, however it's glued in and I'll need to carve it out. It felt like there was a seam below that second layer block, they just glued it in for some reason (-1/2 point).This is a strong and modular case. One of the best I've seen so far. With a bit of tweaking, and that's to be expected to make your firearms fit securely, it's a five star product for sure.
