Compared to Fuji's own 35mm f/2 lens ($400), this TTArtisan lens is pretty comparable and worthy of consideration. Squeezes out an extra stop of low light performance. This is a nicely built prime lens with a good autofocus performance. Nice quality aluminum construction, with anodized finish. Plastic hood mounts securely and can be reversed for storage. Rear body cap has a USB-C port for performing firmware updates of the lens.Using this on my X-Pro2, focusing was fast and quiet, close focusing is not really that close at 16 inches. No aperture ring or any other controls on the lens, but my X-Pro2 defaulted to using the rear control dial for aperture adjustments so not a deal-breaker. Easy to find professional level reviews online of this lens with all the optical details, but I am pleased with this lens and agree with others that it is a bargain if you don't have a 35mm prime in your kit.

This has got to be my favorite budget lens. I love that TTArtisan designs affordable lenses and makes them available to all. This is 52.5mm equivalent lens that’s perfect for candid portraits. It comes with a lens hood, front and rear caps, UV filter, lens cloth and neoprene pouch.I’ve been playing with few TTArtisan AF lenses for Fuji and they all have a bit of character. They’re not perfect and don’t have the best image quality (vignetting and weak corners are common issue) but the contrast and the feeling it provides out of the camera has been great. This is compact, fast lens but I’d say it’d been on the long side for street photography but for candid portraits in low light, this would be perfect. Wide open, it has decent contrast but at F/2.8 and on, it gets so much better. Overall bokeh isn’t too bad either and it provides excellent value for the money.TTArtisan has made photography fun and affordable and their mk.2 version of the 35mm is hard to beat. Updated hood design makes it possible to keep it on the lens and have access to the lens for lens cap or filters. It works wonderfully for portraits and as a teaching tool, it’s something I can recommend for those looking to get started in photography. Highly recommended.

The bokeh (depth of field) of this 23mm lens from TTARTISAN (on aps-c crop sensor, 35mm full frame equivalent) is creamy smooth at f/1.8 aperture, which is still a very versatile focal length, and this lens can also stop up to f/16. Although there is no physical aperture ring, this can be adjusted via other dials on your camera.TTARTISAN has become synonymous with a brand I can trust for third-party lenses that are aesthetically nice looking and easy to handle, but also just work well and can hold up to my demands as a photographer. With this new round of auto-focus options now available for FUJIFILM FX mount, it is really great to get some of these focal lengths at great low apertures for my favourite brand of camera, particularly with such great value overall compared to the official versions.Overall, while the lens does not offer weatherproofing, just take it easy on the lens around rain and such, and it will be just fine. The autofocus is speedy, and the lens overall just looks great on any FUJI camera, though these lenses are available for other camera brands as well. It even comes with a lens filter and carry pouch. 5 star product.

PROs:- All metal construction, this lens is a pleasure to handle.- Pretty small and light.- Includes a hood, the hood can be reversed for stowing the lens in a camera bag.- Quiet and pretty snappy autofocus.- Sharpness is very good in the center. Degrading a bit towards the corners, especially at wider apertures.- Very pleasant bokeh with no sharp edges. The out of focus highlights appear round.- Includes extras, like a UV filter and a hood.CONs:- Does not have an aperture ring.I think that this lens is a very good value for the price. I love shooting with a 35mm prime lens on an APS-C camera!

If you ever wondered what it's like to use a manual focusing lens, this lens, at $64, is perfect for getting a feel of the experience. With an equivalent focal length of about 37mm on my crop sensor Fujifilm X-E4, it's well suited for street photography. Also, the lens is so short that it looks great on the X-E4. But if you eventually decide MF isn't for you, well, you really don't lose much at all.Build-wise, it actually feels solid, yet light. The MF ring is very well dampened and takes about a 100 degree turn to go between infinity and min focusing distance. The lens barrel extends about 4mm when focus distance is at min. The aperture ring has detents, although they do feel subtle and lack a solid click. But the ring is stiff enough that there's a very small change of accidentally changing it. The smallest aperture is f/16. Oddly, there's no f/11 between f/8 and f/16. There's no rubber gasket around the mount, so it's safe to say the lens isn't weather resistant. It's optics are far from good. The extreme corners have severe vignetting. You'll have to stop down to f/5.6 to not notice it. There's noticeable barrel distortion and severe loss of contrast when bright light is in the frame. There's no lens hood included. Center sharpness at f/2, I must say, is quite good. But softness begins almost immediately as you move forward the edges. However, if you focus on a corner area, the sharpness there is not bad. I think this indicates extreme field curvature. Interestingly, chromatic aberration is non-detectible. And bokeh is smooth and bokeh balls don't have the onion ring effect. This lens no doubt has optical flaws, but at $64, you can easily relabel them as character.Final note, the box has tapes that came already cut. A refurbished unit? A repackaged unit?

The lens looks beautiful with my Fujifilm x-t4 and it feels like it is made of high quality materials. As you see in my photos, the image quality is not great, but it is very good. It is for APS-C cameras and the focal length is around 50mm for Full Frame cameras which is my favorite walk around prime lens. For a cheap price, you can have a good small beautiful lens with good autofocus. It worths every penny. The only down side in my opinion is this lens doesn't have an aperture ring. Overall, I highly recommend it.

People would mostly dismiss third party lens for their cameras especially on manual focus ones. I know because I was that guy before. It is a hassle using one, especially with a guys like me that has a vision problem. I was impressed with this little one. made me appreciate more on manual focus lenses

I ordered this lens after comparing this to other brands due to the affordable price only. I was surprised this comes with a square lens hood and very excited about it. And then it hit me when I tried to put the hood one. The joint doesn’t seem to fit very well and sratched up my lens (pictures attached). I was only able to put it on properly 1 put of 10 tries.Image quality is decent. But I notice it has one hell of a lens flare ans it looks very bad.Auto focus - not the quickest, but get the job done for the price.Overall, good for beginner, but definitely will trade in later.

Recently got this f1.8/35mm lens and it has truly exceeded my expectations. If you’re a Fuji camera user, an amateur photographer and new to portrait photography, this is definitely the best lens you could start with. Similar fuji lenses normally start at $300 before tax.The f1.8 aperture not only allows for stunning background blur but also ensures impeccable image quality in various lighting conditions. Whether it’s capturing details in daylight (picture 2) or preserving the ambiance in lowlight situations (picture 1), the lens delivers sharpness and clarity that rival much more expensive options. So if you’re looking for a lens that combines high quality and affordability, look no further!
