I used this on my JD X304 temporarily so that I could use a socket wrench attached to my drill to turn the shaft prior to reattaching the transmission to the frame.The X304 does not use this part but you can assemble the pulley then add this nut so you can drive the shaft with a socket wrench to make sure the transmission is actually working. If your drill has a large enough chuck you can drive the shaft directly.

Bought to use on a tuff torque T40 (would work on a K 46 as well ) transmission drive spindle so that I could spin It with my drill to purge the transmission of air after rebuilding the transaxle and refilling it with oil. It worked fantastic, since this transmission doesn’t have a bolt on the spine. Received earlier than expected.
