The formfitting design of the Tuffy lockbox has over 149 cubic inches of lockable storage. It’s secured contents are easily accessed by maneuvering the drawer open and closed on the smooth ball bearing slides using the convenient pull lever. Featuring Tuffy’s Pry-Guard Locking System with a 10 tumbler double bitted security lock with built in weather seals. The design incorporates a heavy duty fully extending slide system, weather seal and welded construction. A formed rib in the enclosure additionally strengthens the locking system. Tuffy’s exclusive bolt-blocker bracket is included for additional security. Mounts inconspicuously under the drivers side seat in a Jeep TJ (With Flip Seat) out of apparent sight of would be thieves.

Installation was wrong the tools are not the right size listed, I guessed on the Allen wrench but the sokcet I needed for the small nut was a 7MM. although thwe 1/2 size spocket for the seats was correct. They say when installing the drawer to be easy with it. I actually had to slowly force the drawer in when I reinstalled the drawer, after that it slid in and out decently well. This looks like a great product so far.

The lever under the seat on the TJ flip seat hits the top of the lock box so you have to bend it out of the way. It does scrape the side a little but no big deal. Once installed it works as it should and is sturdy. If you're looking to secure semi- valuables this will do it. I did not install the included bolt blocker. Just seem a bit difficult and the juice is not worth the squeeze. Excellent for top down security. And yes it works on either side.

Seems built well BUT instructions for removing the drawer for installation are woefully inadequate. I gave up trying to figure it out. It is advertised as a concealed carry box HOWEVER, unless you have a very SMALL gun, nothing fits. It will work for a cell phone, wallet, passport, but nothing bigger. Plus its bare metal. If it were lined it would be better. IF you have seat risers the security block will NOT work. It could easily be wider BUT it is pretty narrow. The drawer doesn't seal tight. There is slack in it when locked. You have to push in pretty hard to turn the key.

The item did not fit into my 02 Chevy Avalanche . The add said it will fit into my truck under seat.

I’ve read several questions on various sites asking whether a Glock 19 will fit in this box. Yes it will. Here is a photo of one installed in my 98 Jeep TJ with room for it and an extra mag. A full sized 1911 will NOT fit. Overall I really like this box. If it were any wider it simply wouldn’t fit with Jeep Tilt and Tumble style seats.

I picked this up because I drive a '97 Wrangler with no top, doors or windows and I needed somewhere I could secure a 9mm pistol when going in somewhere I can't carry. I have a Springfield XDM9 and this is just a little too narrow (by literally a fraction of an inch) to hold the pistol fully assembled. If I take the slide off the pistol and remove the magazine it fits, but it's a bit inconvenient. Still it's very secure, well built and gives me some lockable storage in the Jeep.

98 wrangler. Compact, discreet, and secure. It will fit under both the driver and passenger side seats. Hardest part of installation is loosening the seat bolts. After they're loosened, it's an easy install.
