This machine was easy to use and setup. You can set the temp and times very easily and i have made several hats. The only issue that i have seen is the hat mount (piece you put the hat on) is not shaped correctly for a Richardson 112 style hat. I had to modify the base to fit the hats properly but after that and using some heat transfer silicone mat to keep it from overheating the leather it works perfectly. I have been in contact with the manufacture about some things they can do to improve so we will see what happens. Will buy from again as we also have one of the shirt press's.

This is a really great heat press bundle. If you started sublimating in an oven, you are going to love this! It is so incredibly simple to get professional, bright, and even designs transferred onto just about any cylindrical blank. They can be small, big contoured, thin, thick. This press tackles them all. Just toggling the screws a bit gives you a nice tight fit every time. The controls are simple and it heats up quickly. You can smell the heating element a bit, which is slightly offputting, but I don't think that is uncommon across brands. It might be oil heating up? In any case, if you sell your wares or are just doing it as a hobby, you'll love this press. The hat press is awesome. I was shocked at how well you can transfer onto hats. The press is the perfect shape to get a uniform transfer. Prior to this, I was just doing a lot of glassware, tumblers, and t-shirts. Fantastic to be able to add hats into the repetoire. Enjoy!

I have a heat press machine for T-shirts, and it came with a smaller "mug press" version of this for doing...well, coffee mugs and little else. The problem is, tumblers are where it's at. You can put anything in a tumbler, from coffee (obviously) to Gatorade to plain old water. I'm not saying you can't do that with a coffee cup but...who does? So I never really used the mug press with my T-shirt press because I can't get rid of the coffee cups I have, let alone printing new ones.I got THIS because I can now do large tumblers, which is something that people actually WANT. I can make promos out of tumblers as well as items to sell. It also came with a hat press, which I'm not sure if I'll use, but it is a nice accessory to have, especially if you don't already have one. In fact, if you wanted to skip the T-shirt press, you could just get this set, and do tumblers and hats and forget the t-shirts. When you consider that you can get started producing your own hats and tumblers for less than $300, this is a pretty good deal. A motivated seller could make that back in a month.One thing I did want to point out, is their description photo points out the power plug as an "air interface". There is no "air interface" on this, and no air compressor of any kind. I'm not sure where they got that, but in case that's causing you any confusion...don't worry about it, there is no "air interface".5 stars, and a great kit.

The machine works pretty good, but it took some getting used to. I love the extra items it comes with as well, they come in handy.
