I bought this kit for bending emt. s a diy'er I have projects in the basement that require a fair amount of emt. This kit worked great. I was able to do all my bends, 45's and 90's, with it. Of course it took a fair amount of practice for me to get the angles just right but that's not the tool's fault :) I suggest using scrap material t0o practice on.Glad I bought this!

This Pipe Bender Kit is well-built and easy to use. clear size markings easy to read and a handy reverse bending attachment is great for tight spaces. It bends soft copper smoothly without kinks, as long as you go slow. Thicker tubes require more effort, but overall, it’s a solid tool for both professionals and DIYers.

This TURBRO model CT-999RF tube bending kit is heavy duty. And it comes in a nice large case that looks like it will last. And - for frequent use - the various diameter bending forms are color-coded which can speed up the process of selecting the correct one.Although i ordered this with the intention to use it for automotive (mostly for brake line bending), this kit is overkill for such work. But pairing this kit with what i already have for cutting, flaring and otherwise working with automotive brakelines will definitely help make my brakeline jobs more professional looking.

I am restoring 2 cars and needed a way to build my steel lines for fuel and other corrosive liquids and gasses. This does a beautiful job and is easy to read and easy to swap out the angled bits. I see no reason why I will end up with creased lines using this.

PROS: Nice daily duty versatile set, accommodates most sizes, smooth well coated deep recess jigs, reversible function, quick release in any position, small enough to fit into some tighter spaces if need be, fast and simple no-kink bends, a must for any plumber or HVAC tech, ideal for any DIY or crafts to. Comes with an inside and outside pipe end reamer, decent fast adjustable pipe cutter and a good heavy duty storage case that keeps all parts well organized for quick access and use. Works fast with easy plug and play adaptable parts. CONS: Won't do bigger than 7/8 pipe, also doesn't work well on 3/4 inch Air Compressor Metal Lined Plastic pipes that are always hard to bend or straighten. Included pipe end reamer has 3 decent carbide blades in a plastic housing (not ideal) and although the blades and device work, the reamer tends to make the pipe out of round inside and bends the the outside edges too, being plastic it probably won't stand up to daily use, and it would certainly work smoother and more efficiently with many more blades in it. Otherwise, you get what you pay for, it's a bit pricey but built stronger than some others. Would make a terrific gift too.

Pipe bender:Shown is a piece of 3/4" aluminum pipe ready to bend as standard or as reverse bend.Everything about this pipe bender says "heavy duty" and "portable" and "manual".The parts assemble and disassemble well. The reamer/chamfer cleans the edge. The instructions are printed in color onto heavy paper. There is a new vocabulary and new writing style to comprehend.The only part likely to fail in ordinary use over time is the spring that retracts the ratchet handle.Where there are screws, I snugged them tighter...namely Phillips heads and 2mm hex heads, six total.The ratcheting handle can be released by pulling it away from the tool body, like opening a pliers, which will release the tension against the pipe if one wants to change their mind or move the bend.A custom tool.
