Single Flaring Procedure
- First measure the outside diameter of the brake tube accurately, then select the appropriate hole in the flaring yoke
- Place it into the appropriate hole in the flaring yoke, being careful not to pull the brake line out too far, and then tighten the butterfly nut on the flaring rod (Hint: don't over-tighten the butterfly nut)
- Slowly rotate the handle of the flaring cone so that the cone head gradually approaches the brake line port and applies pressure
Double Flaring Procedure
- Remove the adapter of the desired size and tighten the butterfly nut on the flare rod after securing the exposed portion of the brake line at the same height as the top of the adapter (TIP: do not over tighten the butterfly nut)
- Place the adapter into the brake line port and slowly tighten the flare cone, pressing down vertically and keeping the adapter and flare yoke aligned
- Repeat the single flaring steps

My review of the Turcee Double and Single Brake Line Flaring Tool Kit,Steel Brake Flaring Tool Kit Include 5 Adapters,Tube Cutter,Flaring Cone,Flare Rod,Professional Brake Flare Tool Kit for Brake LinesI need to replace the brake lines on my 23 year old pickup truck and brake lines need double flares. I believe this kit will help me to accomplish the fabricating of my own brake lines. In order to create a proper double flare you need the five black round adapters that come with this kit. I also like the mini tubing cutter that comes with this kit. I have bigger tubing cutters but this small one is better for soft tubing since it doesn't crush the tube as easily as the big cutters. The flaring tool and clamp bar work well and are sturdy. The one thing missing is a reamer. I was able to create a couple of double flares in no time with these tools. Good kit for the price.

Every home mechanic should have this. I was so tired of having to rent a flare tool kit from the auto store. This is identical to the kit I rent at the auto store and the auto store claims theirs is professional grade so I can only assume this is professional grade as well. Tested it out and leave a very good flare with no burs
