Rather certain I read the description and specifics carefully and also certain that when I searched for 99 Forester front left turnsignal assembly, this is the item which came up. I also researched TYC and was somewhat suspicious this item was not correct. On the plus side, it was delivered in 24 hours but DID NOT FIT model year 99. Return was easy but Amazon needs to clarify the description as this item will not fit 99.

I had to return the first turn signal I got because the black rubber around the edge wasn't properly attached. The second one came in and had no problems.

My son bought this for his 2001 Suburu Forester, after a minor fender bender broke the original one. It fit perfectly and works great.

This was a perfect fit for my 2002 Subaru Forester. Simple installation just 1 screw to remove even came with the the bulb pre-installed.
