The product (in itself) is suitable for use in my older Panasonic TV. The packaging apparently was not adequate. I ordered two of the lamps, both were shipped in their own separate boxes, then placed within a larger box. Immediately upon picking up the box from my front door, rattling was detected, so not a good sign. Sure enough, one of the lamps was damaged beyond use. The second lamp was installed immediately in my Panasonic TV and it worked as designed. For that reason, four stars.

After having this product for less than 3 months the light bulb has already become faulty. Every time we turn the TV on the lamb appears to give out and the TV auto turns off. It takes another 30 seconds to turn on and then shuts off in less than 8 minutes

I ordered this lamp in late November 2016. Tv Picture was very dim from the first day I used this lamp and today (March 2017) the lamp burned out... very unhappy with product. Great price but you get what you pay for.
