It’s a nice bright light. No issues there but…1) The color seems off. I have Sylvania Truwave bulbs (18” and 24”) in other spots under my cabinets. They are set to 4100k and I like the color. These are 4000k which I get is slightly more towards the yellow end of the spectrum. To me, it seems to have a greenish tint.2) Just like it says in the specs, it’s 11-3/4”, which is 1/4” shorter than the original F8T5 fluorescent that it replaces. So you need to be careful putting it in.3) The other possible issue is that 180 degrees of the tube is metal, so it only emits light from half the tube. Not an issue for an under cabinet light but may be an issue in other applications.Maybe I’m just too picky. If you don’t have to match to another color, I’d say go with it. There aren’t too many 12” Type B LED tubes out there. Although, I did see some at Home Depot….

I bought this as a replacement bulb for a light board and it works perfect. If you're light board goes out and takes this bulb type this works well! Would but again maybe one even brighter!

Always was having hassles with one of four decade-old under cabinet kitchen lighting fixtures that originally used fluorescent bulbs. Most annoying was the high frequency flickering due to ballast dying. Watched a few YouTube videos and converted my light fixture to NON ballast (took about 45 minutes with wire cutters, screwdriver and wire nuts) and purchased these LED bulbs instead. Less heat and no flicker. The color temperature matches well with the remaining 3 fluorescent fixtures, but if the ballasts go bad on the 3 fluorescents I will be converting them to LED as well. Was glad I didn't have to purchase another ballast or buy a new fixture.

Light is bright and did the trick nicely for the refurb project I was doing on this beer sign. It's actually brighter and looks better than the Fluorescent replacement I also tried. One caveat: the bulb is a 1/4 inch shorter and wouldn't stay in the installed fixture sockets. Had to drill a new hole and rig a new way to secure that end of the connection but after the rewiring it turned out well. The bulb now emits less heat and won't continue to damage the fixture with discoloration like the fluorescent was doing and will last longer and use a lot less energy. Win-Win!

Very well wrapped for shipping, which is very good because they had to travel through the postal system a long ways. Instructions on how to install were very clear. I am really happy with them in my RV, as they sure cut down on battery draw down, but are really bright. The only reason I'm not giving a 5 star is that you have to be careful to center the contacts on both ends or you will not be able to get power to them, because they are 1/4 inch too short. Very happy with the lights and really like the fact that you can rotate the ends to direct light where you would like it. Very good product and would order from this company again.

Customer service was great. I had to call them because the wires have odd colors in my building, and I needed help to figure out which of my wires would be the hot one, which the ground, etc. It was easier and cheaper then make the trip to the hardware store to get a tester.Arthur was just wonderful: called back a few minutes after I left a message on the provided phone (it is his mobile.) Smart, polite, patient with this old lady.Remuving the ballast takes one minute. My under the cabinet fixtures house two tubes each, so I had to be taught how to connect them in parallel. With Arthurs explanation, it took 5 minutes at most. The light of these LED tubes is bright but still pleasing to the eye. I am going to substitute one of this LED tubes for two of the old flourescents under my kitchen cabinets. I will stll have brighter, better light.Super.

The LED tubes work very well. I was able to modify the light fixtures within a few minutes. Just clip the wires on the ballast, and attach a black wire to one end and a white wire to the other end using the existing wire nuts. I removed the ballast, but it could have stayed in the fixture. The tubes shipped had rotatable ends, although they were not advertised to be rotatable. This is a big plus! Because the lighting is directional, it was great to be able to aim the lighting to make it just right. The product description says that the lighting angle is 240 degrees. This is a wide angle, and being able to rotate the lighting assures that it goes where you want it to go. These tubes are 11 3/4" long. There is another product that is slightly longer. Apparently, lighting fixtures for the tubes can be either length. I discovered that the tombstone ends on my fixtures are mounted with a metal end bracket that is easily bent slightly one way or another to accommodate both lengths. I bent my tombstone brackets just a tiny bit to make them slightly closer together to assure a good contact. I was trivial to do, and took only a few seconds. The resulting lighting is far better than we had with the original fluorescent tubes in coverage and brightness. Also, it eliminated the annoying delay when turning on fluorescent lights.

The LED replacement bulb worked great in my old florescent under-cabinet fixture. This bulb comes with instructions that have you disable/remove the ballast and starter from the fixture, so it's kind of a one way upgrade. If you don't feel comfortable turning off your breaker and re-wiring a fixture, it could be expensive to have an electrician do this.I'd love to see a LED tube that could drop-in to the fixture, fake out the starter, and accept the ballast effects. Anyone could install that without the need for an electrician, and it would be a really simple upgrade and allow rollback to florescent if desired. The tube seems to have all the LEDs pointing in the same direction, and has an aluminum back, so light does not exit evenly all the way around the bulb. That would be less trouble if the ends could pivot 90 degrees and allow getting the light to point the way you want it to. Color (temp) was similar to florescent, brightness is very similar to the previous florescent tube, and I see no flickering. Starts instantly without the clicks that the florescent starter used to do. Overall I'm really pleased and would definitely do this upgrade again.
