This saved me from having to replace an entire ac system if you have a older ac and the repair shop tell you that the compressor is bad look at the clutch first

Fit my trusty old 5.0L Explorer. I was able to swap this in without removing the compressor. It does not engage as smoothly as the style with the rubber bumpers but works fine anyways.

I needed a new A/C compressor clutch and the service station I go to wanted to charge me $1000 for a new compressor, new Freon, a new filter, a new receiver and a recharge. Forget that, man! I got this for $135.00 and changed it and the serpentine belt in one fell swoop -- no problems no hidden fees. It is a shame that most places that repair cars anymore don't want to repair the car unless it costs more than the car. I paid $1000 for this little gas saver and the A/C worked and now workes perfectly; for $135.00!!! You only need A/C here in B.C. for maybe a month or two and there was no way I'd pay more than the car costs so this is the best of both worlds. The hardest part was holding the tensioner with one hand while setting the belt back over the flywheel.... Needed to extend a 13mm box end wrench with an aluminum tube but it all worked out. :-) yea!
