I had a small leak on my previous evaporator but it’s been three months with no problems since i have been told that i have leak. I ordered this evaporator and installed it but since i left the shop I haven’t feel the ac is at maximum potential, as it was humid in the cabin and i feel a warm air , but yet still drove the car on the highway for approximately 30 minutes, but the conditions didn’t change, I started sweating even the ac was blowing to the max. I drove the car at night still it doesn’t feel it cooling as it should be as with the previous evaporator. As the he previous evaporator which the original was blowing ice cold with stingy feeling if you leave your hand at the vent even with outside temperature about 50°C

If you need to replace the fromt evap in your vehicle, done go for the ones they sell at your autozone or oreiley shops. Those are very cheaply made, aluminum welds are horrid, and they are not milled right. The connection area is milled too small compared to this one or the original one and leaves a big opening in the port that lets engine heat come in.

Fit my 03 Chevy 3500 6.6L perfect. It’s a pain to get the hvac box out, but I did it myself, for the first time in under 2 hours total.

Pulling the dash is allot of work so you want to make sure the part is GOOD.... most good units come vacuum sealed so you know they are clean and free of leaks. This comes with No vacuum seal and NO hardware... and in most cases you can not use your old hardware...No seals are included. With that said spend a few extra bucks and get a more quality part

Cut compartment open with Harbor Freight oscillate tool per You Tube. Old unit was tight coming out, removing the top inner “bump” made the new one slide in easy. Covered “bump” cutout with gorilla tape and plenty of tape over other cutout parts. Overall 3 hours and not very disagreeable job. New part fit correctly and works perfect once recharged by AC guy.

Excellent Evaporator for the price. I would've given it 5 stars, but it comes with no studs nor O-rings, and they don't even sell the studs or bolts, nor tell you what to use to install it. Through trial and error, I found the Dorman 03422CD Exhaust Manifold Hardware Kit works best and gives it an OEM fit, finish and look. GM Part number GM 11589054 is the OEM part and works great as well and can be purchased individually where as the Dorman 03422CD is sold by the pack. M8 1.25 by 50 screws/bolts can also be used but would need to be screwed in from the engine bay side through the dryer and high/low-pressure line into the Evaporator. There is a great youtube hack video that shows how to replace the evaporator without paying thousands of dollars, but he insists that the evaporator comes with studs and o-rings. IT DOES NOT. Much cheaper than GM AC Delco and of great quality.

I have a 03 surburban and it worked out great, my ac is blowing snowballs again and the price was worth it, the only problem was finding new seals and studs because it didn’t come with any and couldn’t find any studs online and had to go to a few different part stores before I found the seals. As far as new studs I went to a hardware store and found some screws and used them for studs and that took a good search because the studs are metric but overall I’m happy with this product because I have nice cold ac again and after 4 hot summers in Louisiana with no ac I feel like I have a new truck again
