The expansion valve fit the car and worked like it should. The replace the item in the car would take up to 8 hours so this product must not only fit but work.

I ordered this before I realized that it doesn't have the mounting post on it, whereas some others here have it (and are a little bit more money). I think my old one came off with somewhere around a 5-6 mm socket (even though it has a star head). So it wasn't a problem for me, just reused the old post.This also doesn't come with any seals or o-rings. Not that they are terribly expensive to buy separate, just a good FYI that you'll need them. The seals that go on the outside of this in my car are a weird o-ring/washer hybrid that I had to get at the dealer.But overall, it works and it's not very expensive. I figured I might as well replace this while I was in the dash doing the evaporator core, even though I had no reason to believe my old valve was bad. A few bucks here is worth not having to disassemble it again in case this turned out to be the problem.
