Just like the pictures!! Love it so far. Only thing I may mention is the back doesn't seem to adjust that well to the tallest "setting" but I don't need it that tall anyway so doesn't bother me. Great backpack for the $$!

I love going backpacking. And now I'm taking my boys with me into the Wind Rivers. My youngest son needed a decent pack but I wasn't ready to buy him a Kelty or Mystery Ranch, in case he didn't enjoy it.This backpack is fully adjustable, fitting small to large bodies. The waist actually has some cushion to make it wearable for longer trips. plenty of useful pockets. I expect this will last based upon the build quality I'm seeing. There are a lot of straps that will need to be trimmed or tucked away. But I think this will be great for a beginner.

The aluminum "frame" is just a bar running the length of your spine. I found it caused pressure on my lower back. Also, with a waist of 30", I could barely get the straps tight enough, which also left a pile of them dangling around. Wasn't for me, returned it.

I spent WEEKS looking for the perfect civil air patrol 72-hour search and rescue pack. After much trial and error, I literally went through and bought five bags that *might* work...and this, friends, was our winner. No need to get the "fancy" $200+ pack of similar size, because this really does do the trick. The size is good and can be adjusted to fit me at 5'8 and my son at 6'3+ - it can probably go down to about 5'2 or so because i had it on the medium setting. My son spent a week in the wilderness with this pack and he really liked it. Fit well, fit everything he needed for his 24-hour supplies and he could attach his 72-hour supplies easily. There are plenty of pockets and compartments so he can organize and access his supplies without there being so many compartments that you have to over-categorize and separate your supplies. Hiked for 2+ miles at a time with the pack fully loaded and the weight distribution was not terrible. After all the research and analysis we did on how to best assemble the SAR pack, this was definitely the absolute best option we found, and we were very VERY pleased. and the price really cannot be beat for packs like this.

This bag has a lot of convenient pockets and storage areas which I really liked. It was comfortable to wear and fit everything I needed. The major flaw I had was the top section not being able to be properly snug if the bag isn't full. If you put anything in the top section it adds weight and droops over, the straps did not tighten the top section fully. It seems the straps will only tighten the top section if the bag is full. That was enough for me to choose a different bag going forward.

Good bag for our purposes. Went on a short camping trip to the channel islands for 3 days and needed to pack all our stuff with us. Didn't hike an incredible amount with the packs, only a couple miles to and from the site, but it was comfortable and strong. We were able to take our 3-person tent, canned food for 2, jetboil and fuel, a few clothes changes, sleeping pads strapped to the outsides, and other little knick knacks, and managed just fine.

My son (6’1”) and I (5’11”) both used this backpack during a recent 4 night section hike of the Appalachian trail. My initial pack weight was 28 lbs while his was 25.Comfort level was extremely high. Take the time to adjust the frame higher or lower to ensure the bottom waist strap sits just above hips. I was in the high medium range while my son was large. Tighten should straps once you have packed so that there is no wobble. The padding and width of shoulder straps feels like you spent a lot more money than you did. Very nice.Durability so far is top notch. I did have a meaningless plastic piece break off but that was my own fault. It did not affect anything though. We saw rain, sliding down rock, and put this bag through its paces along the trail. It still looks great with no signs of wear. It should last awhile.Space is amazing. You can stuff this thing if you wanted. We had 5 nights worth of food, plenty of water, sleeping bag, pad, tent, etc. The pack held all the gear etc. Added rainfly was nice and all our gear stayed dry. Sleeping bag pouch at bottom of bag is roomy and convenient. I stuffed mine in there so I did not have to attach it to the outside of my bag. Tent easily secured to bottom using straps. I had a towel strapped to the side often times because we jumped in ponds a fair amount. Pockets everywhere for whatever. Allows you to be super freaky organized.I highly recommend this backpack for anyone just getting into this amazing activity. It isn’t ultralight. So if you were going for long stretches trying to cover 12-20 miles each day with minimal pack weight probably not for you. Perfect for section hiking 3-5 day trips, though definitely could be used for more depending on how you pack it. The backpack itself comes in at 4 lbs, not terrible.

I'm short and have a hard time finding packs that fit. This one is PERFECT! Highly recommend for small people who still want to carry a full array of stuff!

This is a framed backpack that has many of the features that the more expensive Osprey has. I'd almost call it a knock off Osprey. This is advertised as 50L, however, I feel it's a bit smaller as a friend of mine has a 35L Osprey that I compared this pack with and its about the same size. So its running smaller then advertised, but if you pack light, this will be fine for you. Also the Osprey is a bit lighter, but I felt this pack is still pretty light and supportive. I used it on a 10 day camping trip and it worked great! During this trip I did a 13 mi hike and once shoulder and waist straps were adjusted, I didn't feel a thing! It didn't hurt my back or shoulders. It does have a compartment in the bottom that can be zipped and separated from main compartment. Can use it for small sleeping bag or shoes. Works as advertised with lots of storage space, has little zippered compartments everywhere for your gear. Also holds hydration bag, and once filled and placed in the pouch inside, can take up space for backpacking, which means you'll have to pack less. Overall all, I feel like this pack will hold up for years and this size 50L is more like a weekend pack unless but can make it on longer trips if you pack light. One other thing, this doesn't fit under the seat of a plane, I had to check it which made me nervous, but frame held up. I recommend this item, it's the perfect starter pack.
