The idea of the lock is great, small, compact, and easy to carry. I bought the locks for short term security running into a store for water...etc. Someone walked up to it with wire cutters, and stole the bike in under 5 seconds.

This lock is not a great one. The quality is compromised and I had to return. Interesting part of the product was that there wasn't any documentation on how to reset the lock and use.

It is very small and lightweight. However, the lock got stuck halfway in and I could not figure out how to get it out. I had to cut it off my bike (which was easier than it should have been).

I bought this to use as a snowboard lock. It's light and easy to carry in my pocket and snowboard with it. It's not the most sturdy, but good enough and gives me peace of mind when I leave it to get a meal.

I purchased the lock, it came in the mail, I read the instructions and followed the directions, and nothing. The lock would not relock or even close. So I ordered a replacement. It came in the mail, I followed the directions again but this time it wouldn't open. No matter what I tried, these locks refuse to work. The second lock actually fell apart in my hand. I know the locks are cheap, but I expected them to work for at least a few months. Such a waste of time. I got a refund and was told that I get to keep both locks. Yippy 2 broken locks that have to go in the trash. yup, thanks for nothing.

This has a 4 digit code, which is 10x more difficult to "break" than a 3-digit code (as offered or a different small bike lock). It's very easy to set your desired code. The rotating dials feel solid, and they have a nice click between each numeral, making it easy to open the lock by dialing in your code. It's very light and easy to carry in your pocket. The cable is thin (as advertised) and so, obviously, would be far easier to cut through than a thicker cable. A decent pair of regular pliers (with a cutting blade) would make short work of it. So, I would definitely not use this to secure an expensive bike outside, overnight, in a place where bike thefts are common. However, I plan to use it to secure my bike when I am in a store, or restaurant - basically, to stop anyone from just quietly walking away with the bike. And certainly the cable would prevent that.

We use this across two wheels on our double stroller at various attractions to prevent theft. This little thing fits in your palm so it’s perfect to store in our baby bag. It was easy to set with our own combo and it locks easily. However, while it feels very sturdy for our purposes, I’m not sure I would trust it’s durability on a bike in an isolated location. The very thin piece you insert into the lock feels like it could be jimmied loose with enough time. Five stars because it works as advertised and I’m not willing to test my theory on it’s ultimate durability.
