The rail is solid. The only concern I have is how well it will stay attached to the plastic forearm due to the plastic being flexible and somewhat fragile. I o ly plna to mount some type of forward grip and a flashlight to it. Only time will tell.

This fits perfectly on my rifle length plastic clam shell type hand guard . Placed it on the top for a light mount and has held in very well. Good metal construction and perfect for the price. Highly recommend

Most standard foregrips don't have slots, they have large round holes. These rails will not attach to a foregrip. Stay away.

It appears to be well made and the length is appropriate for a standard M4 hand guard. However, the inside nuts are too small and will go through the holes at the bottom of the handguard when you attach them to the screws.I ended up using some 1/2 washers I had and was able to install it. Please note you will need to remove the metal sleeve inside the hand guard before putting this on.

I like this very much. Easy to install, took ten minutes total time. It is solid, and it will work fine.

I kie this is a 5 inch rail. I was hoping for a rail to directly bolt to the 3 inch on center swivels on my B14R. Luckily I have a drill press so I was able to use one of the swivel bolt holes and drill two additional holes in the stock to mount securely. The screws that come with it at 4mmx.70 pitch and very short. They are designed for mounting to a thin rail. I went down to the local hardware store and picked up 3 4mm machine screws 25mm long and used the flush mount nuts that come with it.Used the rail to mount my bipod and went out target practicing. Very solid.

So, I got it and it fits just fine. Be aware, this is designed primarily for magpul MOE furniture and just so happens to fit m16 carbine length handguards. To put on an m16 guard, you'll need some washers. 1/2 work well and I had some m10 washers laying around that were perfect. It won't line up dead center of the m16 guard either, you'll have to move it closer to the front to get all three holes to line up, but they will. When you tighten it down on the m16 guard, make sure it's not canted by manually holding it as you tighten the bolts. It only takes a minute or two and comes out rock solid. Make sure you locktight the screws too. Screws of this size tend to work loose over long periods of time.If you need a nice, affordable option compared to entire modern handguards, this is for you. Very easy to install, and very lightweight but sturdy.

This is a very basic product, only having to meet some dimensional requirements and the ability to hook it onto an M4-style forward handguard. It is adequate at that.First, though, it comes in nothing more than a plastic bag. That's it. The rail and an allen wrench in a long, small zipped plastic bag. There were no instructions. There wasn't even a card or label to identify the manufacturer or seller.Second, the washer/nut pieces are just big enough to go through the holes on a M4-style forward handguard. Which means you can't really use the middle one (it's not slotted, so you can't run it up against the side of the handguard hole) to secure the rail. And the other two don't have large enough flanges to lock onto the edges of the holes. I ended up cutting up a washer I had to hold the middle nut in place, and it's now very secure.Once I got it securely in place it works very nicely. It doesn't dig into the palm/fingers, and a couple of different attachments I tried fit right onto it with no difficulty. It would be better with larger flanges on the nuts, and an instruction card that tells you to remove the handguard to install it (since the flanges would no longer fit through the holes). But, since I know what I'm doing, I would order it again, if needed.
