I ordered this product on October 1st. 5x 50yd, but there must be an issue when Umpqua spooled the tippet. It is NOT 5x at all, it breaks with little resistance. Of course, even easier break-offs when tying it to a leader. I believe I just recieved a bad batch since the other reviews are positive.Willing to change my review if company is willing to come to a solution. Feel bad rating a small business low, but let it be known, Umpqua has some bad batches out there.

Great fluorocarbon tippet, never any issues, and it's nice that it comes in a 50 yard spool as opposed to the 30 yard spools at the same price point. Love me some Umpqua gear, their fly boxes are also the best.

Been using this for 8 months in 5X and 6X mostly for trout. For me, this works just as well as more expensive options. Knots hold well. Honestly, I don’t know why some tippet costs so much more than this.

Best leader material there is for wary trout, steelhead. Tough and easy to dispense from spool.

I use this tippet material to catch bruiser trout on private water in North Georgia. I landed a 10lb rainbow on 4x a few weeks ago. It is very high quality material and strong.

I watched a video on this stuff and thought I' d give it a chance. I used it on a few trips back and to me, it seemed to do a better job than the Seagar tippet which is highly regarded. The spool and holder were of good quality as well but the holder seem to twist the line so I replaced it with a cloth one. Maybe I was using it wrong? Regardless I havve nothing bad to say about this tippet.
