This tippet holder has a very quick release to allow changing spools. It also lies tight against your pack so your fly line doesn't snag on it, like the ones that hinge from your pack. The only downside is that it only holds 5 spools (and that is taking the holder to the very edge!) I like it better than the "O" brand, the "FP" brand, and the "S" brand (all of which I own).

It comes so close but ends up coming up short. The velcro strap on the backside does not go all the way across which creates a pivot point, which unfortunately makes it too easy for the tippet holder to dislodge and come-off while going through light brush and undergrowth to get to the water. If they had just made the velcro to go the entire length of the piece that would have been sufficient for a secure attachment. Perhaps in a vertical attachment position the tippet holder would be less susceptible to dislodgment, however, my application required a horizontally attachment which just doesn't work.

Works great with standardized molle attachments and is so simple it works perfectly. Can hold 6+ spoils of tippet. Currently have five, with one off-size. No complaints from me.
