I had 200 foot line buried along a wall approximately 8" deep. Followed directions and within ten minutes located the break. Only issue was discerning the lost signal due to traffic on the road. Bets the alternative of digging or pulling the whole length of wire.

I needed to find some buried wire that ran out to a couple decorative light poles at the entrance to a house we were flipping. This works like a tone and probe. You have to de-energize the circuit. The transmitter attaches to one end of the wiring and the receiver detects the signal sent by the transmitter. It's very helpful to have at least a general idea where the wires are buried. I like that it is rechargeable... no need to always have fresh batteries in your toolbox. This worked well and helped me find the break in the wiring, probably from a landscapers shovel. Very handy tool to have.

Had a broken boundary wire on my Automower. Narrowed it down by switching out the guide wire to the boundary wire position but I still had approximately 200 ft of wire to determine where the break was located. This little tool took me right to the break; simple splice and back in business. Signal was strong and clear when using the ear phone attachment. Sure beats pulling up wire to fine the break. Highly recommend.

the null sound helped follow the line but it never stop having a null sound so I pass right over both lost valves. The guy I hired found them with his pro unit in 15 minutes.

Tired of trying to figure out where your fence is broken or you forget where it's really at, I have tried lots of cheap fixes and other ways to fix mine, Right off the RIp this one took me with in 1 inch to the Cut wire!! Then made a track around the rest of the yard checking where the wire was SUPPOSED TO BE and found it was Not installed where it should have been, Bottom line it works!!
