When it comes to compost bins, all we can think of is a box or a large barrel in the backyard, or a small insulated barrel in the corner of the kitchen, but this underground compost bin opened the door to a new world for me. It is small and simple, easy to install, and feels like a super environmentally friendly and life-loving little expert! An underground compost bin is an environmentally friendly device that converts organic waste into fertilizer. It creates a moist, oxygen-deficient environment underground, allowing organic matter to decompose naturally and eventually become fertilizer that can be used for plant growth. This method not only reduces garbage, but also provides natural nutrients for your garden or vegetable plot, which is really killing two birds with one stone! We just need to bury the underground compost bin in the required location, and then pour organic biological kitchen waste into it from time to time and cover it with a lid (in theory, as long as it is not full, you can add it every day), and then wait for the earthworms to eat and convert the garbage into organic fertilizer.

Yes, you can make one yourself from PVC parts but I am far too busy for that. This is a nice sturdy and well made worm tower. It looks good, it’s functional, and it will add benefits microbes and fertilization to a large container or raised bed. The lid screws on and off. It helps keep rodents and other pests out of your kitchen scraps. I did notice the rather weird picture in the ad showing not usable items. No, you probably shouldn’t put plastic, old batteries, and bones inside this tower BUT the picture should probably say it’s meant for vegetable and plant scraps. Most gardeners already know that but the ad photo should be more clear. Over all, for me, this is worth the purchase as it saves me time. I don’t have to make it and it will be a real boost to my garden bed.
